Like many other magazines in the past week, GamePro has a small extract on each of the upcoming titles for PS3.
GamePro Scan One (http://finalfantasy-xiii.net/image.php?image=media/scans/gamepro/01.jpg)
The scan gives us a little more background on Lightning."In the story an exile from the floating kingdom of Cocoon, who has been banished to the lower world, finds herself caught up in a plot to take the sky domain down."The magazine has also predicted that both XIII and Versus will be released in 2008 like many others have said.

Cool!~ Thanks for the info, Kit. This is the first I've heard of what the story will actually be about. :O

Nice. I really needed some info on the story, but it is quite vague..

Hey FinalFantasy-XIII.net, this is Kyll from FF-XIII.net (the guy that scanned the magazine image from GamePro), I just wanted to say thanks for always sourcing! I don't know if you spotted it, but the website TheLastBoss.com removed watermarks from some FFXIII scans yesterday and didn't source us, which was later picked up by ps3.qj.net, and of course they didn't know the watermarks were removed and just sourced TheLastBoss.com, made me kinda ticked.
Atleast us small guys know how to play nicely together!

That's okay Kyll :) People who put the work in should get the credit and editing out watermarks is really low. When a big site like QJ sources sites like that it really does piss me off. Thanks for the scans :P

Final Fantasy XIII PS3 looks more open, showing the day time scenes rather then the shallow, depressive places.

I actually dont think that the line is about lightning... but about an entirely new female character altogether... because lightning already has a line or two about herself... hence...
And then, she was chosen.
As the enemy of mankind who will destroy the world,
she never speaks of herself, only referring to herself as “Lightning”.
So in my oppinion the way the sentence is phrased shows the plot is already in motion before this character comes into play.... so i really do think we are looking at a brand new female character folks....pic would be nice ofcourse....

What if Lightning ends up being an enemy? I know I'm definitely not the first to say it (no clue who was, or has said it though...), but I mean...it almost seems obvious with that description of her...enemy of mankind who will destroy the world....doesn't exactly inspire much confidence in her 'good-guy-ness'. Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong and she joins the group because she wants to avoid destroying the world or something
