Yoko Shimomura ^_^

I was looking around the net, and I'm kind of surprised she hasn't got a Fansite of any sort. I was thinking maybe I should set one up.

To me she's pretty much my next Nobuo Uematsu, she has a really beautiful musical style.

I've been listening to her past work for a while now and I think she's a perfect choice for FFvXIII

anyone else share in my interest in her work?

I'm not very familiar with her work, but from the trailer, I don't think I'll be disappointed.

Yoko Shimomura is great! I was pleased when I heard it was her doing the music for Versus.

She also did the music for Live A Live which is one of Square's long lost SNES classics that no-one else apart from me seems to have played or even heard of.

she is works for the kingdom heart people and the kingdom heart people are doing final fantasy versus 13. she hasn't done any other final fantasy's. has she?

anyway the music in kingdom hearts is great. I love her work. thats why try and work it out so i can play it. :)

Versus will be the first FF game that Shimomura has composed music for. The music for FFXIII is being done by Masashi Hamauzu and according to Wikipedia the music for Agito is composed by Takeharu Ishimoto.

Yes the music is great, I like what I've heard so far, so no complaints here.

I guess that I'm used to Uematsu's work, but if she did the music of Kingdom Hearts then I guess it's going to be good^_^ The music from the trailer was a good example of her work

Shes really great at singing and making music! She has a really nice voice!

yoko shimomura is a really good composer. probably one of the best from square. when i first heard the song, i was like all close to crying because the song was beautiful since im a pianist myself. i cant compare myself to yoko shimomura.:lol:

so the answer is YES. THERE SHOULD BE A FAN SITE FOR HER. I really love her music and the way she uses piano with her music.

sry for double posting but has anyone heard the trailer for kingdom hearts 3. not the secret trailer at the end of kingdom hearts 2 but at the end of kingdom hearts 2 final mix. Her music is so good. dam its so goood. DAM!!!

yoko shimomura is a really good composer. probably one of the best from square. you don't follow mitsuda, tanioka and sakimoto's works do you? I mean Mitsuda does some of the best they ever had. Shimomura had a nice song during the Knight fight in Final Mix+ but overall her performance took a huge pummel downwards in KHII compared to the passable works in KH.

I don't think we'll be dissapointed, it may not be quite on par with other composer's we know, but it should satisfactory.
