It did seem like an attempt just to make more money off of X (then again thats what they do nowadays) but I suppose it did appeal to some people. I only played it for 2 days so I never completed it. I couldn't get into the game mainly because of the awful storyline. The gameplay was actually okay though maybe a little too fast and it did get confusing. I heard a rumor ages ago that they were going to make a X3 which would follow Braska's story which would have been a much better idea I think. Less girl power, more explosions.

Well, i kinda like it...kinda...
I mean I'm a girl I kinda like that girly stuff..I have to say that when I bought my PS2 (last year XD) I wante to play this one first and I played it until the third chapter but then I decided to delete the file and play it after I had finished FF X...
I have to admit that at first I really got crazy with Real Emotion I just loved it..but then after one week of listening to it over and over again I guess that I only like it cos...it was the first game I've ever seen on my PS2...
But back to topic....the characters were ok for me, and the story... not that bad...graphics (inside game) fine for me...music I didn't mind..
Battle system, fine for me i like trying out different battle systems :nod:
But what i really liked were the FMV I just loved them! until the ending XD...but I prefer the good ending really

Actually I find the battle system to be the best use of ATB system. Sped up it goes back with the casting time of magic like FFXI and IV while allowing characters to attack at the same time. It destroyed the soul of the job system though. Really destroyed it.

I curse FFVIII because it is bad. I love FFIX because it is the pure goodness. X-2 was the most expensive/wasted 7 dollars I ever spent. Actually it wasn't, the battle system is that good.

I liked FFX-2 only because it followed on from X
but it could have been Sooooooooooooooooooooo much better, the Music was so repeatative, and it all looked kinda the same, Paine was annoying, they needed more team members, and it needed to be less girly

The game was boring, repetitive. The only reason I knew where I was going next was because I had a walkthrough next to me and was following it to a 'T'.

All the dungeons were long, boring, long and had dumb monsters. Most of them were just different coloured versions and there wasn't a tough boss (that you HAD to fight) in sight. Everything was avoidable. It's like it was made to be passed in the quickest time possible so if people put in the slightest bit of effort, it was overly-long and boring.

Oh and the Calm Lands was baaaaddd..... X(

The only reason I purchased it and actually played it till the end was because it was a sequel to FFX. Also I had gamefaqs as a reference and a guide to attaining the 100% complete ending. But to my surprise this game wasnt what I expected at all. lol Yuna went from a reserved and considerate woman to a somewhat sassy girly girl. Furthermore yes it was repetitive because the game basically consisted of dull and relentless side quests.

Overall the game was alright because I liked how the game presented some old characters, the poor Guado, the mysterious Yevon and showed how they progressed after the defeat of Sin. What I really disliked about the game were the cutscenes. Well the cutscenes were good but every time, it sounds like Yuna or someone is moaning or something. Over exaggerated voice acting. I hated it because sometimes my parents were right behind me. lol It happened to my friend and his Dad told him... "What the heck are you playing? Oh... whos that? And what the heck is she wearing?" Referring to Rikku.

Thats true. It would've been best if they had just left X alone but of course Square gave into their fans and created a sequel.

I actually liked the battle system, to be honest. That's about it, however. Everyone turned slutty (clothes wise at least), it seemed like a huge jump at least for Yuna. The story was lame, but whatever. If I don't think of it as a FF I'm not as annoyed with it. Thus I don't consider it a Final Fantasy...so it's not too bad, haha

Lol. If you've seen the little movie thing that's supposed to be right before the X-2 storyline (when Yuna runs away), they look exactly the same, then change into their "new" looks for the game...
I guess I'm just picky, but I don't like that. And the game still sucks. ^_^

But yeah it bored me, the dress changing thing was stupid, the only good story in the game was Shuyin and Lenne's story, which wasn't much. I mean Yuna and Tidus' "love" story was stupid, they barely knew each other and then BOOM they're in love. THAT was stupid.

Well, I loved that they brought back the leveling system but this game really kind of did suck. The dresspheres only fitted because there were only 3 people in your party throughout the game but it wasn't that well put.
