You guys believe in Angels & Demons? If you do or don't what are your views on the legends and myths about them?
Do you think that people can actually be possessed, or do you think that places are actually haunted? Do you believe in Exorcists and Exorcism Etc....
State your opinions about anything mentioned or anything else that has to do with Angels & Demons.....

I believe in them. I've also had experiences to believe in the haunted as well. And because of those experiences I went through a stage of being addicted to haunted shows and such, one of which was "Most Haunted", some of you might know of. But then I got annoyed by it.
Angels and Demons. It's kind of hard to explain for me. i've only seen movies and shows which actually have shown such things, but it seems that i want to believe in it. Angels especially because once someone passes on I do believe that thier soul passes on, however, I think they can somehow watch over others and be considered "angels". I guess that makes sense.

Yes I believe in Angels and Demons. They're as real as you and me. (Don't need anything on that.) I've seen the work of both of them.
When my pastor was talking about demons he made it sound like demons can't posses people and make them bend to their will. Like the "he made me do it. I had no control" thing. Pastor T(as we'll call him) said that people have a choice to follow the demons' commands or not. He used the story of Job to give us the extent of the devil's powers. So why should the fallen angels have more power than their leader? He also gave one of his own testimonies.
I don't exactly believe in "haunted houses". I'm sure that evil is most likely present in a "haunted house" and that the things happening are the works of Satan and his demons.

I believe in Angels and Demons because those things can be proven.
For example: There was a story of a person who was driving in a car, he saw some (what look-liked a homeless guy) on the side of the road. He decided to be the "Good Samaritan" and take him with him. He got in the car and the driver drove off. After a while, the driver looked behind to see the passenger, but to his surprise, he was gone. 0.o
That can be proof for an angel because there is no way humanly possible someone can do such a thing.
Demons can be proven as well, but I won't go into detail.

Or maybe he just made the story up. Maybe it was late at night and he was having hallucinations.
You never really know.
I personally don't believe in angels or demons. I'm not religious. I don't believe in ghosts and hauntings and such either. Really, I'm pretty much entirely skeptical of the paranormal, except for maybe aliens. I've also never had any abnormal experiences without mundane explanations, except for maybe my rabid obsession with Fuji Syusuke.

So then my pastor was hallucinating lots of times when he's encountered demons himself?

Oh, but you SHOULD go into detail....

Demons eh? Well I know little about it, but I've seen shows on T.V. (some Forensic File channel) where this person was going insane because of a supposed demon inside of him. He quickly got help from some people who prayed to God that it would go away, an after a while, it did.
I've heard others but can't really remember. :/

I believe in them. I don't really know why, but I do know if there's a good side of a person then there's a dark side...somewhere

You don't even know if those are entirely true...
Plus, it could just be that he was going insane for some other reason and was smart enough to seek out help, or dealt with it himself -- and then attributed his sanity to the prayer instead.

I wouldn't exactly trust television to give you the exact truth. I sometimes watch those shows as well. I would just keep an open mind when watching those shows and know that most likely some of the content is exaggurated etc.

I think the idea of angels and demons was maybe an ancient philosophers hidden way of describing those among humanity who are either blissfully good (i dunno, Ghandi) or demonically evil (Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin, most Russian totalitarianists).

That's a good example. ;)

Maybe for very obsure and old concepts of angels and demons this could work, but I thought this was relating to the biblical angels and demons? And I really doubt that philosophers would be so hidden about it as to not mentioning that angels and demons were not actually supernatural, but only metaphorical references to 'evil' and 'good' people. Philosophers formed theories disregarding explanations related to faith and other supernatural occurences -- at least, the more major ones that I studied. XD

Well, most people think of angels and demons only in a biblical sense, but this is for ANY kind of Angels & Demons......
I think the idea of angels and demons was maybe an ancient philosophers hidden way of describing those among humanity who are either blissfully good (i dunno, Ghandi) or demonically evil (Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin, most Russian totalitarianists).I think that philosophers used the Greek and Roman gods more to explain things. That is what they used to explain the supernatural, strange occurences, forces of nature Etc......I think that they just thought that people who were REALLY evil of good were just destined to be that way be the gods either for punishment or for a leader for their people.
