Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII release dates

I think that FF XIII will come out late 2008 and versus will come out early 2009. I wanna know what everyone else thinks.

I've heard alot of talk about the release being in late 2008. That's my vote and opinion, however this early in develpment, drawbacks are bound to pop up sooner or later.:blink:

with what happened to final fantasy XII, I think we'd be really lucky if we get it anytime in 2008, so let's be realistic and say 2009, both of them, XIII early 2009, versus around december 2009 or early 2010. damn 2010 sounds so far away.

I'd say XIII comes out in late 2008, Agito in early 2009, VersusXIII in mid to late 2009. Thing, is it might even be longer considering delays, so you can add a half a year to each of my predictions.

I will say early 2009 for XIII and late 2009 for Versus. I could care less about Agito at the moment.

I voted for 2009, I'd love for them to come out in 2008 but I don't think that's realistic. The localisation alone will take more then a year. FFXII nearly took a year here in Europe to be localised, if they want to improve the series for nex-gen I'm sure this game is going to be a lot bigger than FFXII.

I agree! 2008 is an impossible dream, unless you want crap, and early 2009 is just stretching it. A slim chance for mid 2009 but late sounds the best if you ask me.

Didn't they say FFXIII was at 18-20% of the development stage back in the SE Party? I'll go with Early-Mid 2009 then, they will probably adjust it a bunch to release a real epical game. Hopefully the OST comes out in 2008 though, hehehe...

Yeah, as much as I would like it to be able to play it right now, I'll patiently wait for a 2009 release just so I can get my hands on an excellent game instead of settling for a "good game".

I too believe that it will come out sometime in 2009. I wish it would come out sooner but then again, I don't. I want FFXIII to be perfect when I play it. I just hope that they don't give my hopes up.... u.u

I read on the UK PLAY Magazine,that their expecting XIII to come out on march 2009 and Versus XIII will come out six months later but it might just be a guess

Yeah because their not near completion or even half done with XIII and Versus XIII their only less then 25% done with that one.

yeah i'm just speculating but it could be possibly because if sqaure had over 25% done then we would have more screens and more info un like now where we barely have any.

I think they won't release until sometime in 2009.
Reason being, it is already March. If Square-Enix
is wanting to release both of them in 2008, then
that means that they only have about three months
to completely finish both games, and release it to Japan.
It usually takes about six months for a Japan released
game to make it over seas, so a few months would allow
that games to be released in the US at the end of 2008.

Thinking about all of that...2009 seems like the realistic
release date for both games.

Even if Square-Enix were planning on releasing XIII this year,
it would still have to be completed in a few months time, unless
they are planning on releasing the game in Japan and the US
simultaneously.

I feel that it would come out in early 2009 like January or Feb but then again..I can picture it coming out near Christmas either way this gives me alot of time to save up for my PS3 and FFXIII and Verses ^^

I would have to say mid-late 2009. I do not own a PS3 nor plan on doing so until those cells get cheaper which in turn makes the PS3 cheaper so i can wait awhile but still i love the Final Fantasy series!! so i want more info on Final Fantasy XIII & Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
