The state Marline is located near the ocean. It contains much of the country's seaports.
Srenis is a big city in Marline and consists of huge marketplaces that people from all over the continent shop at. Though Srenis is large in size, its population is quite small compared to the other cities.

Seori watched the children running around and laughing happily outside, the marketplaces filled with buyers from all sort of different places, and the fishermen setting sail in tiny boats.
Then she looked down at the golden box her mother gave to her on her 7th birthday. Her mother had warned her to never open the box unless it's an emergency, and Seori kept the promise.
Even when her mother died 5 years ago, she never opened it. But now.... now.... as she observed the box's elegant designs, she began to wonder.
What could be in the box? Her hand hovered over the lid slowly.
"SEORI!!" her father shouted from downstairs suddenly, and she quickly withdrew her hand. What am I doing?! she was bewildered by her own actions.
Carefully, she placed the box back to her usual spot, behind the shelf of books. After one last lingering glance, she ran downstairs to answer her father's call.

When Seori approached the ground level, her father was having a heated arguement about something. Those men, she thought in disgust, what do they want now?
In all her childhood, whenever she see people in black clothing talking to her father, she knew something tragic would happen. They were always leading her father to failure and destruction, yet every time they spoke, he would agree and put the plans to action immediately.
Seori couldn't help wondering if they have some kind of spell or magic on her father, or maybe they were just so convincing that he couldn't turn any offers down.
Suddenly her father, Koan Areo, turned around and saw her. "AH! My dearest daughter! Come and say hello."
She nodded absently and slowly approached the men and exchanged a few words with the black-clothed men. Koan was smiled proudly at his daughter and finally, he gently dismissed his daughter.
Back in her room, Siane shivered as she recalled how cold the eyes of those men were.

"You're not planning on sitting there all day staring at nothing, right?" Evian demanded with an annoying tone. He was a childhood friend of Seori, and is working alongside his father, a famed sculptor.
"...Do you think...this place will be here forever?" Seori looked up at him slowly, looking a little worried.
He raised his eyebrows, "Are you expecting some kind of ambush?" The he crept closer and studied her face. "You know something, don't you?"
Do I know something? Frankly, I know everything that goes around here. "Just...answer the question...."
"Well..." He retreated to his spot, leaning againist the wall with his arms crossed, looking down at the ground, pondering. "Nothing's eternal... I'd give this place a good, errr, two hundred years."
Seori said nothing in return, but a sudden rush of dread swept her. After a while, she raised her ocean-blue eyes to his grey ones, "How about... 3 days?"

Seori sat in her room painting as usual, so her father can send it to the market to sell. Last night she had that same nightmare again: gunfire, screams, blood, demolished homes and broken families.
A while ago, she was only painting aimlessly, her mind blank and somewhere else. But now, her attention turned to her creation. It was a scene from the nightmare. Fire climbing up the buildings, people running for their life, and....
Her eyes widened.
A sea serpent.
The monster was blue, ocean blue, the exact color of her eyes. Its size was at least 10 times the entire town. Angry waves rose over the people and dark clouds with lightning peeking out here and there.
Why did I draw that? As she recalled from the dream, there was no serpent, waves or lightning, so why...?
Her thoughts came to a complete halt.
She was drawing herself. She was the serpent.

"You were THAT depressed?! I thought you were kidding," Evian took the painting in his hands and looked at it at arm's length. She looked at the painting over his shoulder, "What do you think of it?"
"I think you need to lighten up."
"No, I meant any clues of what the dream wishes to tell me?"
He didn't answer for the longest time, so long that Seori wondered if he had forgotten her. "Maybe a huge storm, and the serpent was only to symbolize how bad it's going to be? ...In that case, then we should warn the town to take precaution." With that, he handed the painting back to her and ran into town.
Seori looked at her creation again. How much she wished what Evian said was true, that was as simple as that...

Screams.....the sound of terror filled the once peaceful environment with cries of the frightened townspeople. Blood was filled all over the ground and the walls, while the bodies were flung aside or trampled by their murderers and the fleeing survivors.
Seori stood at the beach, a few miles from the town but yet, she heard, saw, and even felt the pain of the victims. She watched them collapse one by one, their lifeless eyes staring into nothingness. Their homes were demolished along with its inhabitants and in a matter of minutes, all proof of a once great city were completely erased...
Seori jolted up, trembling uncontrollably. It was a dream, she convinced herself, but then she heard a loud explosion, then the earth shook so hard that she was knocked off her feet. An earthquake? She quickly made her way to the curtains and pulled them aside.
She almost fainted. Her nightmare had became reality.

A girl stands with some children surroundings her. They were walking around the marketplace, wandering what's to eat at late dinner.
"Eil! What are we going to eat for dinner?" asked a little boy with spiky hair.
Eil just remain silent. She seems thinking of something.
"Dunno, maybe we could eat seafood curry tonight?" asked her to the children.
The children seems happy, then they walk across the street when everything suddenly shaking.
"Whoa, what's this?" some children asked.
"An earthquake? what could this be?" Eil asked. She held all the children that goes with her and bring them back to the orphanage as soon as she could.
