I know this has been touched on in other threads, but heres one centered on it. This is going to be talking about ALL forms of terrorism, extremist and "unprovoked" as you might call it. 9/11 and 7/7 being extremist and the Oklahoma city bombings being "unprovoked". People have been talking lately about non-extremist groups of people not committing terror attacks, but supporting the action of them. These people have included saying things such as "9/11 was worth it" or "Oklahoma had it coming". So what do you guys think about-

Terrorists and their actions
What might be provoking terrorism i.e religion, politics or simple evil.
And whether Western Governments have in some form inflicted this on themselves.I believe that although these acts, although mostly simple hate, are somewhat provoked and could easily have been predicted and avoided. For example, during the gulf wars, America gave weapons and training to the Mujahadin (now better known as the Taliban) to make sure they beat the Russian. Osama Bin Laden, after the fighting in Afghanistan, then turned his attention towards America, and used his Government opted training to stage the most horrific terror event of our time.

It will be a while before Terrorism ends. Thats why we should just stay neutral, as in dont go to their country to start a war because IMO that would make a war more probable. And if they DO start targeting the U.S. thats when we take immediate action.

I still support the war :/

I doubt terrorism will ever stop...completely. There's always some groups, however small they may be, that think violence is the answer :(

I dont think terrorism will ever stop. It will always be about in on form or another.
I think the only thing that could be done to takle it is rather than go in heavy handed dropping bombs and spilling innocent blood. would be to look at some of the factors that contribute to it, ie economics, political, religious beliefs, etc and do something to change the things we can..for example write off debts.
acts of terror are usually the result of many grievences piled on top of each other. by making a difference in some areas the would be less for these people to use as an excuse for their violence.

I'm going to let someone take over from here cos I could go on for ever.

Terrorism=Foolishness, a way of an important person to use people's need for leadership, a form of self-justification of internal beliefs.

Terrorism is a selfish way and violent way of proving to tohers your beliefs and punishing those around them for not believing in what the terrorist believes...well that's what I think.....

I don't support the war though, BUT I do support the troops (there is a difference)
