He protects his home from marauders that plan to conquer the city and take the crystals as their own. That quote from Wiki also says they glow yellow when holding a different sword though - as you can see in that scan he's not holding a sword, so that point is irrelevent.

My point was that you're making a point about Wiki saying that his eyes glow yellow when holding a sword, and then you show a picture where he isn't even holding a sword. That doesn't prove anything. If you wanted to prove that Wiki isn't dependable then you should show some pictures where he is holding a sword and his eyes aren't yellow.

Besides, S-E doesn't need to officially announce that his eyes glow yellow if we can clearly see it for ourselves in an image - the thing is, I haven't seen such an image.

Umm...yeah, Tidus is, and again...his name is not japanese. It's derived from a japanese word, but it's not japanese itself. Rade suggested his name would be Arashi. Arashi is an actual japanese word meaning Storm. So you're the one who has been wrong many times over.
