I don't see how that indicates a remake at all. Its just stating the obvious that the story continues in Final Fantasy VII.

I dunno bout that Dante. Why go through the trouble of adding that extra footage and even some dialogue? I mean, sure it could just mean that the story continues in FFVII (which it does obviously), but I for one have seen enough hints by now to know that S-E are definately considering a remake, only not until FFXIII is done.
PS3 Technical Demo
Note at FFVII Gallery saying 'Congratulations on 10 years! The best is yet to come.'
The director of Crisis Core saying that CC is his message to Nomura and co. to do a remake.
Nomura and co. themselves stating they would like to do a remake, but when the timing is right.
Two pages at the back of the FFVII 10th Anniversary Ultimania which comes with the FFVII Potion, with images from the technical demo and big text that says 'We hope to visit FFVII again.'
And now finally, this.
If all that doesn't scream that they're doing a remake at some point, then I dunno what does.

I think to be perfectly honest, it was just me hoping and praying for a remake that made me post this. Otherwise I wouldn't have, but I really really really hope they remake ff7 because if i get the same feeling i got when I first saw this video, then buying a ps3 was totally worth it hahaha.

Wow. I can't believe this is shown after the ending. Well I do think it could be a remake. If it doesent mean that.......then what does it really mean?

I read somewhere that they were going to do a FFVII remake, only if there was a team that wanted to do it and had the time.

The director of CC (can't remember his name) has said that he would like to do it. But I personally don't think they'll do it until after FFXIII is done, when they have the time and experience with the PS3 to make it worthwhile.
But they really need to do this. I mean, FFVII came out 10 years ago. There are young gamers out there enjoying the Compilation titles but they can't play FFVII because either they can't find it anywhere or it's just too retro compared to what they're used to. A remake of FFVII would allow them to enjoy the whole story.
But besides that, it needs to be done for the fans who did play it originally but also don't like playing the original anymore because it's so cumbersome nowadays. Plus with the realistic look and feel of the Compilation titles, along with all of the scenes in Crisis Core that were in the original FFVII which have been revamped, makes the need for a remake even more necessary IMO.

The director's Hajime Tabata. :P
I believe they really need to do this as well. I think this would be a real good experience both for Square and their fans. (They'd certainly get alot of money.) I don't like playing the original game, because of the block-like graphics. It bugs me greatly.

Well you can't really blame him considering you put that in a spoiler tag with the warning of a super massive spoiler.

This is the ending for Crisis Core?? lol. Isn't this the similar with the Beginning of FF VII??

Ughhh. No one has still mentioned why the game stating the obvious and saying it continues in FFVII means REMAKE CONFIRMED
For example, if DMC3 said TO BE CONTINUED IN DEVIL MAY CRY 1 does that mean theres going to be a DMC1 remake?

I understand what you're saying Dante, its just there hasn't been so much hype and suggestion about a DMC remake, plus DMC doesn't need a remake. If square is teasing us then I will be extremely disgusted hahaha, as for you Desi lol Burn in the underworld? PMSL!
If you actually read the title as well, there is a question mark at the end, meaning this topic was open for discussion, and that it had not been confirmed as a remake of FFVII. It may just be stating the obvious and that is one oppinion. However, the game has been screaming out for years now to be remade not only by the fans but by its original creators. Hence, there will be some serious discussion like we have had already on whether this little bit of footage means a remake.
I am sure we shall see at TGS.

Huh? What does that mean >.> I never said it wasn't a spoiler, but you said Pulse would burn in the underworld for posting this when you'd already posted it, and my point was how could he have known you'd posted when you placed it in a spoiler tag and warned people that it was a big spoiler? He probably would've had the sense not to click it because of your warning, not knowing that it was simply the intro for FFVII.
This is the ending for Crisis Core?? lol. Isn't this the similar with the Beginning of FF VII??
It's a secret secret ending that you unlock. And yes it's pretty much exactly the same as the FFVII intro.

I don't think anybody thinks that 'To be continued in FFVII' means its confirmed. Nobody is even saying anyway that it's definately confirmed, we all just think it's very likely now. I think people, myself anyway, are more interested in the extra footage and the little bit of dialogue. I'm positive that when the devs put that in there it was just intended as a little treat for the fans, whilst themselves sending a message to Nomura and co. 'Please do the remake.' But nonetheless, it's still adding fuel to the fire, both in terms of the fans wanting it even more, and S-E getting around to actually doing it.
This doesn't confirm anything, but it sure as hell makes it more in demand.

lolz, emotional people.
I think the remake will happen eventually but not for a while. The fans want to make it and Square is "teasing" us about it as well. And we have another 10 yrs of the FF7 compilation left so theres plenty of time.

I think you might be thinking of the Fabula Nova Crystallis there. That's supposed to last 10 years, but I haven't heard anything about the Compilation lasting 10 years. Apart from the fact of course that it's been 10 years since FFVII first came out, but I don't think there's another 10 years to come =/

 Wow. How much more could they add to the story apart from one set after DoC? I mean, they can't keep doing prequels... Although the remake itself would be part of the compilation and it could be 10 years before we see that lol :P
God... I'll be nearly 30 then :'(
