New Ffversusxiii Images! Never Before Seen!

[Pulse]

Well... never before seen by anyone who wasn't in the closed mega theatre I suppose.

IGN, has posted a video of a sony game show reel they had a TGS. I managed to print screen a few of the versus section, as the images are all new, whereas the FF13 images we would have already seen.

In the short clip of the show reel, we see the character walking down the stairs from the palace. Then he draws his sword and dives head on into the crowd of soldiers. He stabs his spear into the ground and swings around on it whilst firing his gun at the soldiers. He then turns around and in a flash of blue light he teleports towards the palace entrance.

This short clip occurs around 2:34 of this video on IGN.

At this link you will find other videos, currently a remote play demo video. It is only early in the TGS, so I am sure that there will be more videos posted.

Finally with these images we have confirmation of the characters teleportation ability.

That character is Bullshit. He can control many weapons and teleport?? lol. He'll be invincible in a while. He'll like beat Sephiroth and Cloud 1:2 with no problemo.

I don't think he'll be invincible, you don't even know at what point in the story this trailer is from. I've seen videos of other FF games before and the clips were way deep in the game and even though he might seem powerful in the trailer he might not be, remember these are just regular soldiers, what about the other enemies? what if he loses his powers when the actual game starts? and you probably start out only being able to use one or 2 of all those weapons. I think Tetusyua already said that in an interview.

I agree. They need to show more footage! But...likes that's ever going to happen. The trailers sound awesome though. I'd like to see some screenshots of the new characters, which will probably be another 3 months until that happens. :rolleyes:

I don't think he'll start off that way. I mean, think of it in terms of the secret movie at the end of KH1. That showed a scene that didn't happen in KH2 until near the end of the game, so it's likely that the same will happen here.

Perhaps he isn't really that strong. When the term 'strong' is used, there's always a comparison to what is considered 'weak'.

Maybe in the Versus 13 universe, a lot of persons are capable of super natural abilities that just seem strong/invincible in comparison to seemingly more low key abilities - Cloud and Sephiroth as mentioned before. Although they do share the same 'Final Fantasy' title, the Versus 13 character is (supposedly) from a different universe than other characters. Comparing them would be groundless.

Now. If you're talking about their looks - that's another story.

----Well, he's only that strong because we think he is. If he's that strong then think of how challenging the game'll be. That kinda strength could be the equivalent of weak in other Final Fantasy's compared to the game. Think about later in the game. The enemies will also be stronger, won't you think?

Yeah, and just because someone is strong in a cutscene doesn't mean they are during gameplay. Look at Devil May Cry 3, Dante always kicks serious ass in the cutscenes but you can never do stuff like that ingame lol.

----Sure doesn't seem so. The light from the teleportation obviously did something. Surely an artist should know. That blue was cast on due to lighting and surroundings, but all in all, his hair is a dark type of silver. Not necessarily grey. Pretty shimmery for grey and blue anyway.
