Hmmm >_> I can go really mad sometimes when gaming, but I have never threw a controller against the floor or the wall. So anyways, how resistant is it? You know, just wondering...

Oh yeah and I don't own an HDTV yet >_< That's the next purchase

EDIT: Oh yeah since people want a subject to discuss about... How do you guys feel about most PS3 games not being PS3 exclusives but rather 360 ports or equivalents? Many people mock the PS3 over it, but I'm expecting a good line-up of exclusives for 2008. Are you guys anticipating any particular game?
As for myself, it kinda bothers me not seeing many exclusives on PS3 yet, but I choose this console for its potential and its upcoming high-profile titles such as Devil May Cry 4, White Knight Story and the Fabula Nova Crystalis games. Still, I want more until these releases >.<

As for the PS3 games, I'm not really bothered about losing exclusives as long as they work properly... unlike Assassins Creed. :nag: It's a good game up until now, but the frame drops, screen tearing and the freezing was not worth £40.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune looks amazing, Ratchet and Clank Future was excllent...umm.. rent Heavenly Sword, fantastic game. Haze looks pretty good..ummm can't think of much else this year. Good thing, Ive got no money. xD

Hmm first time I hear something bad about PS3's AC :O How bad are these 'bugs' you have talked about?

Yeah I'm actually kinda interested on Ratchet and Clank Future. Heavenly Sword is way too short so I doubt I'm buying that. I heard Folklore is really good. From what I have seen it's one of the prettiest games out there, but I'm not sure on the length and replayability so I don't know if I want to buy that or not.

Also, unfortunately, as long as Sony doesn't release a Worldwide PSN Store, I don't know how I can buy/download games and add-ons there being from Brazil even though I have international CCs and all... :(

Sorry for the double post, but I have a question regarding PS3.
If I have a Japanese or EU PS3, do foreign peripherals such as an US PSEye work on my console?

And, ^ the only thing I know about foreign PS3's are that they can play all games in any region because they don't have any locks on them, but for blu ray movies they have locks on them, so if you get a Japanese PS3 you can only play blu ray movies from japan since all others are gonna have region locks on them.
OH, and I checked the rules, if you wanna sign up you have to go to the User CP and go to group memberships to join the club. I put my membership in but nothing happened yet.

Yeah I don't really care about movies though :/ I only watched one DVD on my PS2, dont think it'll be any different on my PS3 with Blu-Rays >_> And actually Japan Region also plays EU Blu-Rays.

I don't have an HD TV, so it doesn't matter whether I get Blu Ray movies or DVD's since they'll look the same. I only bought my PS3 because I needed a system. MY PS2 was the only thing I had (besides my DS, which bores me.) and it broke. I needed something new so I just bought a PS3. Man, I can't wait for FF13. The game looks so amazing. About 2 weeks ago, I was thinking, how am I ever gonna get a PS3 with my parents constantly enforcing their "laws." I thought I was never gonna play FF13, and my sister was constantly saying stuff like: "You're never gonna get a PS3, so just give up."
I laugh at them all. FUFUFU.
But, seriously, more people do have to join this club. I'm sure there are plenty of more people here that own/will own a PS3.

Man I kept dying there too, and at the first boss, and at random fights during Chapter 3 (the big room with a Golden Scarab at the top of the box pile, where soldiers come from all sides). Chapter 4 was a bit easier on me, but I'm redoing it because I didn't explore the whole city.

I'm here making my PSN Account, but I just found out that Sony is racist (or doesn't like money) and I can't purchase anything from the PS Store with my international credit cards simply because I'm South American XP

However, I do know that one can share his downloaded content with 5 other PS3s. So this servant asks you, is anyone willing to share your stuff (mainly Ninja Gaiden add-ons) with moi? :(

I'm technologically retarded myself. I have a router right in my room but I can't get an internet connection to my PS3. I've had it for around four months or so and can't do anything online. So, sadly I don't have a PSN username, nothing from the playstation store, no multiplayer gaming. I really wanted to get CoD4 for that too. Ah well, just not meant to be.

Well, sony does have a headquarters in South America. Latin American headquarter. And there is Sony Brazil. But I don't see a Playstation Global in Brazil.
I don't get it. It should be able to let you use your card.
OH, the PS3 does have locks on it. They're regional locks and they differ for each region. Did you get your PS3 from America? If that's the case, then the regional locks in the American PS3 might be the problem behind it. I really don't know. Good thing though, the Blu Ray games don't have locks on them, so any PS3 can play them, but Blu Ray movies are different.

It is not THAT great, but it did not deserve the absolutely horrible scores it got. The controls worked fine for me, and if you did the tutorial, they might have for other people.<_<

I like it though, wish they would make another one, but based on the reviews, I don't even think they would consider that idea.

Mine would not let me connect for the longest time for the same reason, I was constantly calling Sony ad Verizon back and forth trying to solve the problem.

Eventually, I quit, and it just started working one day.:|

if you get the dns error then just test the internet connection over and over until it works , what this does is reastablish a new connection each time

I don't have a PSN because I don' t have broadband. I"m using shitty fucked up AOL. OMG I HOPE AOL BURNS TO THE GROUND. So that way my dad has to get DSL.
As for the problem with the PS STore, yeah, I am guessing it has to do with the regional locks.
And for Lair: If it wasn't that bad, what do you rate the game itself. I wanna get some opinions on this game.

Oblivion is a pretty good game. It could function as an MMORPG practically. If it actually was, I'm sure it would create a pandemic of starving people in the United States. I'm not a huge fan of it, but I have fun with it. At this point though, I find myself usually just playing PS2 games on the PS3. Not really any next gen games. Most of them are pretty expensive, one game takes up usually one or two weeks of paychecks. Most I'm not terribly interested in, and the ones that I am, are very far off. So I'm just playing DDS...oh wait. DDS glitches on the PS3, nevermind.

I love the PS3, but FFVIII doesn't work very well on it and neither does DDS. Being an all powerful system it shouldn't be impossible to fix, and those can't be the only two games that have problems on the system. It just seems kind of sad that the PS2 is still my all purpose gaming system.

I must be getting too used to RPG's that I tend to spend weeks on since I like to do everything. Paying sixty bucks for something I'll play for a day in a half and never touch again doesn't sound too appealing. Unless there's online feature things that don't get boring. Then it would probably be worth it, if you enjoy it.

I don't think it's a RPG thing specifically, at least for me. I'm used to only buying games with some replayability, something that may last me over 15hours *at least* and renting anything shorter than that. Sure back in my 16-bits days I probably purchased many short games, but those were other times... And even then, most games had single and multi-player modes, as well as optional modes such as Time Attack, different levels of challenge rates, etc. Even Sonic 2 had a lot of replayability XD

Yeah. My friend beat it in about 12 hours. But he said it was one of the best 12 hours of his life.

Yeeeehaw!! Just finished NGS on the Normal Difficulty! I liked the last battle :) Now I have a new costume, Hard Mode and a Missions Mode unlocked :)
Also just finished downloading R&C demo, let's see how that goes ^^

You can't do it directly from or to the PS3 because of copywriter law :cookie: You can get these cards for your PC which allow you to record through HMDI. We're going to get one before FFXIII comes out to record cutscenes and such :cunning:

Anyone get the Burnout Paridise demo?

I haven't, the last demo I played was FFXII when I bought Dragon Quest VIII. I checked it out on Gamespot and I thought from what I saw of it that it looked pretty cool. I love Burnout so I'll probably get it since I could use an awesome racer game like that on the PS3. The online sounded a little iffy, but I'd have to see how exactly they plan on doing that. Since the online multiplayer is only specific with a small group of friends, I doubt I'd use it. One, my internet connection is screwy and my PS3 online feature doesn't work and two; I don't know anybody with a PS3. I get enough of a kick with causing massive car crashes, so at least it'll be a good deal for anger management.
