So god created heaven and hell? And he appointed Satan as the 'ruler' of hell? Pretty sweet deal, he gets to torture all these 'evil' people for all eternity. Come on you Christians tell me what hell is all about?

God never created hell. God only wants peace doesn't he? Why would he create hell? I think Hell is just born the same way as how the Heaven was built. And what is Satan got to do with this?

Shut up you faggot.

God created hell for the fallen angels.

Keep flaming down in serious discussion.

And it was for fallen angels, and those who don't believe in God, sinners, or so I was told in church a few years back. :cookie:

And I was told Satan was thrown down there because he is a fallen angel. Never really checked into it though, all hearsay.

He was a fallen angel. God banished him there.

Satan is Lucifer who is an angel who rebelled against god and caused major drama. God cast him out and Hell was born. That's pretty much the explanation you get from lots of movies.

satan was actually the highest angel but he wanted the power of God and has since been trying to harvest peoples souls for his cause. he was consumed in hate for all things and takes pleasure in peoples suffering and downfall...and hell is where he resides

Muslims don't believe Satan is the ruler of hell. When the time comes, the devil will also be punished in hell.

We (christians) know that when the Jesus comes back, Satan will learn his place.

Bingo.

But even though Satan is the ruler of Hell, he is still UNDER God's rule, in the Bible he had to ask to test one of God's believers, I believe it was Job.

Satan cannot really do anything, except try and change your mind, he cannot make you not believe in God.

Satan?? What happened to Michael and Gabriel then??

This thread isn't about Michael and Gabriel. It's about Satan.

@Nocte

Thank you for mentioning Job. (You're correct, it is Job.)

I really don't know if God created Hell or not. And I honestly don't care that much either because Hell is a place I never want to go. But now you've sparked my curiousity.

WWJD!

So then I guess the millions of sinners who have died aren't in hell yet? They are still waiting for judgment day? Is this correct?

Psh, I have no idea. I don't think so. I believe they go directly to Hell or directly to Heaven.

Your Welcome.:P

I know that God created Hell to house Satan and all of the other fallen angels and sinners of the world.

And I think that if you are going to Hell, you go there right after you die, I think that after Judgment Day is when Satan might be vanquished or something like that. Its been a while since I looked at Revelation.>_<

Bullseye! Though Satan's not the ruler of hell, he will be tortured there as well.
Satan as of now is not yet in hell. He is imprisoned and guarded by Michal the Arch Angel....think that's spelled right. Sinners unconsiously enter heaven in their Spiritual Bodies, and await the White Throne Judgement. I'll look into these things to make sure I'm right on names.

God will open the Lake of Fire (hell) at the White Throne Judgement. Where the non-blievers are judged and thrown into hell for all eternity.

In God's unyielding fairness, Satan will be released upon the Earth for some time for God to see who will follow Satan, or Him. Crap! Outta time.

Damn! did it again, didn't read the second page.

lol I was just reading Angels and Demons today. What's up with the Illuminati? And it said something about satan, about how the word originated from what the church called the Illuminati or something. Is that true though?

If we're speaking in terms that Satan is a 'being', then Satan is evidence of hypocrisy, right? If God is all-forgiving, and if Satan is eternal, why not give him a chance? People become indifferent if they live to eternity: their hates and loves are eventually forgotten, replaced by boredom and meaninglessness. Unless indifference is a sin, then Satin should be back in heaven.

Does Satan not eventually get vanquished in Revelation?:|

And Satan did have a chance, he WAS an angel, but he became greedy and tried to overthrow god, so he was banished from heaven and now reigns over Hell.

I think I should have clarified by saying 'why not give him a second chance?' or - for hell - an infinite more? It wouldn't matter if one is going to live for eternity. There's nothing left to live for. In effect, it's not even living at all. Living infers that one will eventually die, right?

Satan is not the ruler of hell. Technically there is no one in hell yet. The devil and the fallen angels we're banned out of hell, and they are forced to walk the earth until Judgment Day. The Devil has no power over us, he only has power over himself. We've all heard of the many forms he can take. So really, the Devil is just an influence, a tempter. The Bible never describes the creation of Hell. It just says on Judgment Day, the sinners (including the Devil) with be thrown into the pit of fire, and tormented for eternity.

Angels and humans are different. I'm not entirely sure what the difference is but we're different.

Satan WAS given a chance, but as said earlier, he rebelled against God.
Satan has no part of your path, but tempts you to do wrong.

Have you ever been thinking about something, like a decision you have to make, and you find yourself looking a two choices. You are going to do the right thing, but then you look at the bad thing you can do just to see what it might be like to make the bad choice?

Your thoughts come from two places, God and Satan.
You think about what to do, and make your choice.

No one is in hell yet. The dead are awaiting the judgement. There's two judgements.
The Judgement for unbelievers is called the White Throne Judgement. They are judged and thrown into the Lake of Fire with Satan at the end of days.

Oh, and what was said a bit ago about the devil being in the White House....good one.:lol:

Satan has a lot to do with your "path." Because of his temptation, you can choose to give up the fight and give in to it or you can choose to ignore it. (With God's strength of course.)

Actually your thoughts come from you. If thoughts came from either God or Satan, then you could see a definate "Good" or "Evil" person, because of your choice to either listen to the "thoughts from God" or the "thoughts from Satan."

I actually believe you directly to Hell or directly to Heaven. 'Cause in this book called "90 Minutes in Heaven" by Don Piper, he actually died and went straight to Heaven. His story's amazing.

I don't know if it says you go directly to Hell or directly to Heaven in the Bible but that's what I believe.

I've always believed that God's true angels are God's agents that do whatever they're commanded to do and that they have no free will and so are almost perfect, whilst humans and jin are born imperfect, have free-will but are the only one of God's creations that can actually do something morally good, becuase that requires free will.

But this is going a little bit off topic ain't it?

No. I honestly wasn't being sarcastic; I frankly didn't expect an explanation - which is quite valid - like that.

With that explanation, though, would come the question "Does God, angels, demons, etc. even exist?" That's up to faith, however; I understand that.

Okay. I just didn't know.

I believe so. There are several testimonies that, to me, prove that angels and demons exist. If you want me to tell you some of the stories I'll be happy to.

its a pretty-well complicated concept for an average human to forge and integrate into our minds.

If you believe in one you gotta believe in the other.

I believe in neither ;D

What's this stuff about being possessed by demons and acts of exorcism to extract them? Is this on their own free will or are they sent by SATANZ? Or is the whole thing just a giant lie? ffg

So, is there supposed to be a correct Religion you have to follow so you won't be thrown in the hotttt sweaty pitz of hellz? :aldo: Or is it so long as you believe in God?

its a pretty-well complicated concept for an average human to forge and integrate into our minds.

You can apply this to all of the Greek, Egyption mythology, etc. that was invented and actually believed in by Humans. We're quite creative; shouldn't underestimate the mind this way. :aldo:
