------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to the Challenges forum. Below are some guidelines for you to follow when entering any of the challenges on the site.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Challenge Guidelines

You must follow the specific challenge rules for each individual challenge.

Any work that is outside of the requirements of the challenge will not be entered. :'(

Work must be your own, and not copied from any other source. If you are found to be plagiarising work, you will be banned from future challenges.
New challenges will be posted every fortnight, the winners of the current challenge will be posted when the next challenge begins.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Submitting your entry

Entries must be submitted to me through a PM. The title of the PM should be the title of the specific challenge you are entering.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Judging

Judging will take place at the closure of each challenge. The winners will be selected by the moderators & admins, as well as other members of the FinalFantasyXIII.net team.

Forum members cannot judge other forum members work.

However, if a moderator or admin wishes to enter the competition they may do so. Entries will be judge without bias. If necessary, an outsider will be brought in to assist judging.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Challenge Winners Awards

After judging is complete, awards will be issued to each challenge winner in the forum of a Gold, Silver & Bronze Award.

Bronze Award Winners get to wear with pride a 'bronze winner' banner in their signature, it will display what challenge they have won, and will link straight to their work.

Silver Award Winners also get to wear a similar 'Silver Winner' banner. However, unlike the bronze it gives the owner the ability to chose next weeks topic for the challenge they have won.

Gold Award Winners will also wear their banner with pride. However, they will also be able to choose the topic for the next challenge. Another added benefit aswell, is that Gold Winners will also be able to judge other users entries on the next challenge. Gold winners are not exempt from any challenge, however, during judging they may not choose their own work as a winner.

From time to time, there will be that one entry that doesn't quite make it into the Bronze, Silver or Gold category, and the staff may sometimes offer a 'Special Award' to that particular user. There are no benefits of being a special award winner, other than that you are safe in the knowledge that the staff deem your entry worthy of recognition.

Finally, any member who actually receives an award for their efforts in these challenges will also be memorialised in the challenge winners thread forever!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Challenge Types

There will be a minimum of 4 different challenge types for you to enter every fortnight, I have described them below for your reference. Should I or any other member of the forum staff want to add a challenge type to the forum, we will give you a detailed description of what it will entail when it is added.

Challenge ideas must be sent to me via PM.

------------------------------------------

Blends & Effects

B&E will usually involve you using two or more images and using your graphics software package to create a unique entry with the effects of your graphics software package.

------------------------------------------

Colourisation

Every fortnight, a black and white image will be posted. Your job is to colourise this image to how you see fit. If you’ve ever wanted a red headed lightning… now is your chance. No effects. No blending.

------------------------------------------

Situation Alteration

SA will hopefully be pretty popular. As an artist you must alter the image provided to fit into a different background. For example, if you are given an image of lightning, you can cut and paste that image any way you like into a different background. You could even place lightning’s head onto a beach babe and make it seem like she is on the beach.

Imagination and creativity are key to this type of challenge.

------------------------------------------

Plugged In

Playing Cards, Game covers, dvd’s and posters galore in here folks. Using the guidelines for each fortnightly challenge, you will be asked to create a certain aspect of the entertainment industry with a particular theme each week. For example, you may be asked to create a poster advertising the release of FFXIII in 2008. So that is what you must do if that is what the challenge specifies.

Please note that this is only a guideline, and further details are given in each challenge for you to follow.

------------------------------------------

Good Luck Everyone!

FinalFantasyXIII.net Team!
