Friggin' stupid people out there never wore boots taller than the ankles!!! THEY judge as to whether or not he even wears socks! Anyone who agrees that he doesn't wear socks oughtta try wearing boots as high as his or higher WITHOUT wearing socks for a while. Including running around and all that. Don't you hate that too for those who disagree with "Mr. No Socks"? Makes me mad knowing that. Just because you can't see any socks does not mean that he's not wearing socks. I know so 'cause I wear boots on a daily basis. >_<

I believe the name was given to him by Maiki because she just couldn't see any socks...I think it was more of an observation of what she could see at the time. He obviously is wearing socks underneath the boots but it was just the name she gave him. I haven't actually seen anyone else call him that, other than people quoting her.

Boots are cushioned higher than the Achilles's Tendon. Even ankle length socks can be worn under those tall boots. Some boots, however, are exceptional like thigh-highs but let's not get into those 'cause the protagonist sure is not wearing some.

I was ranting about how so many people need to see socks to know he wears socks even when he wears tall boots. I wear tall boots myself and know that socks of a shorter length are enough to keep the foot from being chafed. O.o
