FFXIII Release Date 12/01/08

If you go to gamestop and browse the ps3 games in the RPG section it has an option to purchase FFXIII with a pre release ship date of 12/01/08. Anyone have any thoughts on that? My exact URL was http://www.gamestop.com/search.asp?N=141+106.

They're guessing. They obviously can't have a solid release date yet. They're just trying to make you pre-order it...
