This forum has pretty much lost its usefulness thanks to vBulletins new Social Groups. At the moment social groups are pretty boring because I turned off Social Group Comments (like Profile comments but on the Social Group page).

I was wondering whether you loyal members thought we need this forum anymore and if we should revert to the new comment system I can turn on for Social Groups. Deleting this forum wouldn't lose you your post count (as there is no post count here) and all it would do is take the total forum posts down 1,300. Vote in the poll!

In your profiles now, you can just post comments (exactly like user notes but much more effective and efficient IMO), and he disabled this for Social Groups. So, if he got rid of the clubs section, you would just use comments in your social group to talk.

Understand?

Understand?Ahh gotcha. And you can name the different social groups and all? The comments in my social group appear to all users in it?

Basically, Social groups will replace Clubs (have to make your club over again in social groups), and then instead of using threads in the club section (it will be removed if the vote is in favor). you will use the comments on the social groups page.

But club sounds cooler! Seriously, who ever aspired to be a member of the country social group? :cunning:

Oh don't worry guys. I hate the name Social Groups as well but I can change it. I've just left it as Social Groups for the moment so I don't have to ask people "do you prefer clubs...or do they prefer clubs?" :P

As no one has actually created one yet, this is what a social group looks like without comments enabled.

I prefer a board with a nail in it to a club but I'll bash with whatever I can get my hands on I guess.

Well I'm going in favour of Social Group messages. I've changed Social Groups to Clubs and now Club messages can be posted. I'll turn this forum into an archive forum so people don't lose any useful threads. :) I'll make a proper post explaining things later on.
