Square Enix Remaking Games for the PLAYSTATION Network?

Remember about a week and a half ago, that EGM rumor stating that a Japanese publisher is remaking classics for the PLAYSTATION Network? Well, Square Enix just may be that publisher.

On Surfer Girl's (the girl with the inside scoop) blogger site, a commenter asked if she knew the company remaking classics for the PLAYSTATION Network. She simply replied "Square Enix".

Could be be seeing enhanced versions of Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy Tactics soon on the PLAYSTATION Network? Let's hope that leads into a Final Fantasy VII remake.

I dont expect them to release an updated version on PSN. The regular would be fine..... I wonder why they haven't released any yet....

She/he is on a good run of getting right rumors. But Square-Enix are greedy bastards and the only games getting put on the PSN that they can't just rererelease is Einhander, Legend of Mana, and Tobal. Good/decent games in their own right though. I would be amazed and pleased to see Parasite Eve up there.

yeah this PSN looks like it could work out to be really good, one thing tho,., you guys chat about all these other games from PS1 like Crash Bandicoot 1 and 2.. and some reason i cant see them on my list ; ;

I just got my PS3 online yesterday and Crash Bandicoot was one of the first things on the list when I went to the PSN Store, along with Jet Moto. I had that game for ages before I finally sold it for three bucks at a pawn shop XD. I was slightly disappointed though, thinking the playstation store would have all these awesome games to play and I could finally get rid of FFVII and VIII, but on my scan through I didn't see any SE games anywhere. Months and months without any PS3 online, I go to the store and...well I think the word of the day was anti-climactic.

When it comes to classics I was very glad to finally get my hands on Spyro... Anyone :cookie: no...:'( okay. But while I was reading that info I got excited becuase I thought Square but when I really think about the word used "remake" my hopes fall a little. I don't want a remake because that would take time and it just wouldn't be the original obviously. If it is Square that's cool but just shove as many FF's up onto the store that you can. Preferably FF8 because my Disc 2 broke! And I am furious because you can't find that shit in stores anymore! Oh and as far as Surfer Girl is concerned, I have just started jotting down some of the stuff they say so I will be eagerly waiting to see if they are credible or not. Gives us something to read though. Oh and Digimon World 3 on the store :cookie: ..... still... nobody:'( okay I get it...
