I don't think i ever came across anyone from SE saying there was a 2008 release date (except for demo) reading the translations (mainly blankchobobo's).

*nods* I agree, I haven't heard any of this >_> Just that Toriyama WANTS to have a demo out sometime. I didn't even read anywhere that he'd get the demo out by the end of the year. That was just Famitsuu saying by the end of the year. Maybe that's what Toriyama meant, and maybe it wasn't. >__>;

I wish that were true but sadly that just couldn't be possible.... although they showed us these games 2 years ago, Japan probably will be lucky to see a release this year.

They haven't released an exact official date, but according to Joystiq, Tetsuya Nomura has said the "long wait for the Fabula Nova Crystallis collection will be over soon enough," and he even hinted at the possibility of a playable demo hitting the PlayStation Store!:rolleyes:zomg they're gonna be sorely dissapointed.
But in the end, Nomura basically swears we'll see Final Fantasy XIII in 2008, which means we can definitely add the game to our "must-have" list for the year.

...it'll only be a couple more trailers though. If we're really really good boys and girls they might get a demo out to us in time for christmas, packaged with a game we dont really want to buy but will just for the demo.
