As for me :

I like Lightning personality more than before, cause I don't want to see those kinds of weakness in the females characters such as :- yuna and Aireth I feel bored with these types don't you think?? Lightning has a strong body and strong personality that doesn't mean she lacks emotional depth or she lacks feminine aspects. As for me I think the people who don't cry have more interesting emotional that kept inside them.

- It's confimed that Subarashiki Kono Sekai will have some action figures. Apparently there's a photo of a 15-cm-tall Neku and Shiki. No release date so far, though. (Apparently there's also a new figure for the PS version of Cloud)

- Still no plans of selling the Lightning figure since the game is still under development and there might be some alterations to her design. For now, the figure is only for show in events.

Toriyama was particular about her having an athlete's body. However, if the heroine was too "macho," it would be difficult for players to associate emotionally with her, and so while serving the director's intentions for her, I tried to make her a bit sweet. That intent appears in things like her hairstyle and hair color.

Unless I completely missed it, the interview never says anything about her not crying. ~_~ Also, nothing about her not being sweet. Um, no. He does have a weather or at least one related to weather. Nomura, who is directing the Versus game already said that his name would be related to to weather since it follows up with FFXIII and the protagonist's name is Lightning. Where did they say her name was "final"? They already said that it's like a "nickname" and she just uses it. We have no idea what her "real" name is. Please state evidence.

She does sound a little cold. Maybe hardened is the right word? She is a soldier after all. The big question, and i suppose the key to the story is when did she become like that and why? Memory is a key theme in FFXIII and lightening has lost hers, hence the reason we dont know her real name. So maybe there was some catostrophic event in her life that has made her become the person she is? Maybe she was a sweet happy go lucky person before whatever event changed her?

I dont really have a problem with a strong female lead, in fact it makes a nice change if the major character is female as opposed to male (FFX-2 excluded). I dont think they'll make her stone cold though, people wont relate to her if they did. Even strong female leads need to have moments of weakness or frailty to make them seem more human and believable (think Ripley in Aliens).

Just like random characters with diminished emotions as they cant remember what they felt in previous times. If all of her emotions were to be cut of then we would be confronted with a robotic shell that carries out 'programmed' orders. Lightning having muscular legs isn't a mistranslation. Toriyama wanted her whole body to be much more athletic and muscular, but Nomura didn't like that idea. Her legs being muscular is sort of an agreement for the conflict between both their ideas.
