Demo with The Last Remnant

Right we need a new poll. The Final Fantasy XII demo was released on a separate disc with Dragon Quest VIII. Square Union (http://www.squareunion.com/site.php?p=News&c=If+You+Want+The+FFXIII+Demo+Start+Saving+For+Las t+Remnant&id=109) made an article today bringing up the possibility that a Final Fantasy XIII demo could be released with The Last Remnant this year. I wasn't thinking of buying The Last Remnant because it doesn't look like anything special but I think I would if it had an FFXIII demo with it. What about the rest of you?

I'd planned on buying LR anyways so that'd be no problem with me. All I really would have a problem with is...I currently have no PS3 to play either games on. lol But yeah it would be nice to see a FFXIII demo in LR. ^^

Well, I was not really sure about buying the Last Remnant anyways. I mean, it looked a bit interesting in some areas but in other areas it kinda seemed to fall flat.

But if there was a demo for FFXIII on it, I think that would convince me to waste $60 on the game and buy it. xD

Now it cant be a total waste of 60 bucks, just think of buying a 60 dollar demo and its not some ordinary demo it will be using the white engine! ^_^

No not worth my money. Never really bought into the demo thing. Fact is it will be released eventually, so I don't see the point of buying myself the demo if I could buy the whole game months later.

As a FF fan, the answer should be yes. That said, I'd probably get it because of the FFXIII Demo. It's really a why not, as you get to have a taste of what FFXIII is like while playing some game as a filler to kill time.

Why not? Lots of other games offer exclusive stuff for just one platform, usually in the form of downloadable content.

Last Remnants been a game I've been on the fence with. I've been meaning to check out the team behind it, I'm really not sure who's on this game within Square. Seeing as it's the first SE game due out for the PS3 I'd probably buy it for that reason alone. Unless it gets mediocre reviews that is.

I voted no, simply because if they make a hash of Last Remnant and it looks like being a poor game i wouldn't buy it just for the demo. I love you Square-Enix but im not going to shell out £40-£50 for a demo.

You could probably pick the demo disc up on ebay for next to nothing.

If The Last Remnant looks like being a decent game and i was undecided a demo would probably sway me.

True. Old square packaged demos with a handful of their releases: Brave Fencer Musaishi and Parasite Eve are good examples. Even recently Square-enix had Dragon Quest VIII come with a demo of FFXII. So this is not out of the question.

Everyone knows that I am looking for Last Remnant a whole lot more then FFXIII/Versus so that wouldn't affect my purchase. Truthfully though, all it can do is help. Allows players to get their hands on a early demo and test out the battle system along with other features in the full version.

I do wonder how it will play out, though...but I am up there with Desi on this one....Last Remnant has quite the uniqueness to it that intrigues me more then XIII/Versus.....and seeing as the battle system is the major thing in FF I hope the 2 don't disappoint...I didn't mind XII's system at all...but I know ppl with agree to disagree no matter how good or bad the system is...
