I dont know if anyone has thought of this yet but what if the crystal is controlling him because when his eyes turn red and he shows no emotion it looks like he's being controlled and like nomura said that he's not the least bit quiet so the crystal could possibly be controlling him and his actions. So what do you guys think?

I would have to disagree. I think that he is useing the crystals power to kill anyone in his path. Also I belive he either has the crystal on a necklace around his neck or it's embeded into him.

I always thought that the change within his eyes are due to certain ability's, spells or summons.
Such as, when he summons his weapons, his eyes blatantly change colour, same applied with the Female Protagonist/Antagonist, when she summoned her rapier her eyes turned into a distinctive Purple colour.

I think she has manufactored crystal like how in FFXII they had necticite and manufactored necitice with just as much power

I wouldn't say Love is a theme of the story, it seems to natural to involve any heavy emotions, yet i supose if its part of the plot then its possible.
Nomura(?) said that the Shakespearian quote 'There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so' Is linked between the Male Protagonist and the Female Protagonist/Antagonist.

concerning the theory-He wouldn't have to be controlled by the crystal to lack human empathy.Wouldn't the crystal have to be somewhat alive in itself to break the barriers of controlling actions which aren't reserved?

Yes they probably will. If you watch the trailer closely you can see the Prince has a part of the crystal on his sword and that missile launcher that the knight uses on the Prince has a crystal embedded in it. I think some weapons need to the crystal to run.

it doesnt have to be a crystal, it's a tube like thing with a shiny blue substance inside. For all we know materia could be in there, or perhaps it's a byproduct from the crystals.

That was speculation or what someone perceived it as it wasn't specifically suggested officially that it was 'crystal fuel'. Its seems plausible.It could also be a mixture of chemicals which fuels the weapons and not necessarily something elemental i.e the crystal.

I think his eyes changes colour according to the power he used. So red is not the only colour. Maybe if he do summon or some other magic, his eyes changes to other colour beside red.

And about the girl, i think it really remind me of romeo and Juliet love story. They love each other but are destined to fight each other.

Even though you speculated that I doubt it. I don't entirely think that their destined to fight each other but in fact choose to do so.This is old news but its already been clarified that if there were to be a love story it would be unorthodox meaning their romance would break with the running tradition.

Could be?? But thinking 'technically' they dont have similar physical attributes if they are siblings.But nomura may have said there was an absence in romance as these protagonists are in fact siblings-speculation only people :aldo:

I've always figured them as family, herself being the elegant, provocavite and older sister. Where as of the Protagonist, more secluded, and calm, yet very powerful.

It would be nice if it was to my imagination. But it isn't unfortunatly. But i still think using them conparisions relate towards the quote 'There isn't anything good or bad, but thinking makes it so' It may be due to the fact that both have so much differences between each other, they cannot accept each other as an equal being. So both of them see each other as a high or more evil being.

She could be a cousin or a step-sister. If the story really does have a lot of similarities to the play "Hamlet" then the Prince will have a step-father. And they won't get along. In that case the step-father would be his Uncle (if the story follows Hamlet that much.)

....Which was greatly depicted in the 2nd trailer. The blood spillage wasn't censored the slightest so it will be a continues asset.
Besides this is the closet thing to reality in the ff series yet.
