I'm on a roll lol, making these Ff threads, but they seem unusally empty, so I'm doing my best to sort of straigthen out things. If I'm making too many posts, just say so. ^_^

----

Could this have been the best FF? I mean, as good and all was FF7, but 9 had some nice additions.

Although the hraphics might have been such a eye-sore, (compared to FF8 *which I grant does have average qaulity*), the storyline was so compelling! I mean, I vividly remember all of the twists...etc and the humour never stoppped!

We had such intresting characters such as Vivi, Zidane and Eko, from which we can can see ourselves in. 1) Wondering what we are, and how we have been made. 2) Relax and be the hero now and then,. and always have a good heart. 3) Who wants to be alone? All of us seek some companionship.

---

The Card game was slightly altered, don't know why, as I find FF8 was a tad better. That said, It didn't stop me from playing it all the time XD Also, I loved the ability system, the bestr in any FF I have played.

The way in which you learn your magic/abilites etc, was genius, making good use of the intricate weapons. No weapon was really the same, meaning they make you use the weaker weapons to learn and master basic attacks. I find this the best method to date that Square-Enix has programmed to make it fun to learn different things. Also, this was a perfect way in which to enable Garnet/Dagger and Eiko to learn their summons.

**Carbuncle featured! Who could not like it then!?**

Overlooked? Yes! The best? Hell no. It is good mind you but it is far from the top. IX is a subpar throwback(not the best one either) to the older days of FF, that is why a lot of people disliked it.

The weapon system is similiar to the esper system in FFVI but with a lot less control. The look takes a lot from the older FF's as well. These aren't bad things at all but the way you praise it doesn't match up.

And no we don't see ourselves in that waste of space called Eiko.

Oh and be on a roll as much as you want but as soon as you enter the FFXI realm prepare to get flamed by my uncontrollable rage.

edit: I demand control over the FFXI forum section!!!

FF9 is in no way the best! Personally I found it playable but not that amazing. I completed it once through and never picked it up again. The characters were alright but i just got this feeling that i wouldnt care if one of them died or something D: e.g When Blank is petrified (?) or whatever i just didnt care. Also the CG was terrbile, Zidane looked pathetic imo, just looked so stupid. Also the ingame models werent that good, when youre running around everyone looked like kids.

However I havent played to for like, a good 4 years now so maybe i need to refresh my memory. :p I just didnt find it that exciting the first run through :/

^You do. i found the FMV very good, in some parts. I can understand some of the bits were a tad bit....cartoon-ish? But the spoiler mentioned above, when it hit FMv style, you have to admit that was pretty impressive.

I mean, all the twists were very well done.

*Doesn't know how to show very cool 'Spoiler Thing' if you have not played FF9, please skim through my post.----

Bits for instance
- Freya's Irish gig at her home-town.
- When Garnet drugged all the party.
- Any bit with Zorn and Thorn.
-Vivi 'encoruaging Black Mage' to transport him onto the Beatrixx Ship.

Well, i liked it. Its one of the few games I actually do re-play, and I've been called a gamer with 'high standards' here at home, hence I'm probably all sonbby when I really shouldn't be

I've enjoyed it immensely as FF VII, replayed it for 3 times I guess, and it was memorable because Ozma was my first optional boss kill. *runs away and hides*

It's probably not the best FF for most people. It really depends on your style in the end. However I consider it the best IMO. :)

Although the hraphics might have been such a eye-sore, (compared to FF8 *which I grant does have average qaulity*),

Well I say FF9 was better looking in SOME parts of the game.Yet there are parts in which FF8 easily wins.

Yup I agree with you 100% right here.Although I didn't care much for the character designs. The characters themselves are interesting and relateable.

I really enjoyed the storyline also.

Damn right...and also the fighting system was pretty easy to use.A bit plain..yet oh so easy...pretty refreshing compared to FF8's junction system. >_<

The card game was pretty easy to learn,so I did enjoy the one in FF9.Yet in FF8 you were able to get items...which makes it better I presume.

So yeah I agree....this game was overlooked. :D
