Some say they are cool, some say they are disgusting. Some cover them with their life, some say they bring luck. What you say?
I have one above my upper lip on the right side. It is not large but bigger than usually. I have heard good and bad remarks about it. Would you avoid me if you saw me for the first time because of it?

I wouldnt avoid anyone with them XD I dont really think much of them unless people have them all over themselves, then i wonder if its a birthmark or a burn or something o.o

Dont care about that. Some people may like it. Don't hide it if its not "Large".

I dont see why people get so hung up on people with birthmarks.
all it is, is skin with a different pigment. would you avoid a black guy because he's black?

Birthmarks haven't ever bothered me. Someone I know has a large one on their cheek. I don't see why people would be so racist as to avoid..people with birthmarks... o_O

its as close as you can get without having people with visible birthmarks break off and form their own country.

I haven't hidden it - it would be impossible but I remember a girl from our class who covered her birthmark with her life - I never saw it.
I remember my dad once said that this kind of mark shows that I will have a very strong personality and I will be a good leader. It made ma happy. But on the other hand someone told me a boy thought I looked nice but wouldn't talk to me "because she had a big birthmark stuck in her face."

That person's an idiot then. D: Its not racist, but its still choosing not to talk to someone cos of one of their features, but i guess you could say that for alot of things.
I dont know who would seriously avoid someone with a face birthmark though o.O

If it looks like the one in Austin Powers (Mole!. Mole!!.. MOLEMOLEMOLEMOLE) I understand it. but I dont think its the case. All people says something about someone else. (example, I been called Goofy, haha... Thank you, i have a long face, I'm tall, Im skinny, I was clumsy, I have big feets ++) So what? It's not a big deal.
Can you define it? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birthmark

In my condition maybe the location of the mark - it is close to my lips...
And from Wiki it is Congenital melanocytic nevus - a bit raised and ~4mm. (OMG - it can turn into a cancer???)

Lots of things can turn into cancers :P Even freckles can become cancerous. You're just unlucky if things do.

Happens, but no need to worry. Go to a doc if it grows. Other then that you should leave it alone. Besides, it right in the place for a beatyspot. :D Higly populair 500 years ago. :D (still is :cunning:)

I guess it just goes with a person's taste. I'm not in love with birthmarkers but I don't hate them... Some people think it's attractive and some don't. If someone is not talking to you because you have one but he or she has admitted that you have a good personality, that person is just confused and a jerk who cares too much about looks.

This is so random and just a bit weird.
Bit harsh to discriminate against people birthmarks, as I'm sure everyone (well, mostly everyone has one) and I'm sure you didn't ask for it so if someone can't help it, you can't really 'avoid' people with them.
If you do.. urr.. you're a bit of prick then.
EDIT: Urr.. yeah I didn't read the first post.. I thought it was a rant at birthmarks, but you can all my point from this, I think..
