at the end of the latest ff7 title: crisis core it mentioned the ff7 compilation project, and it showed which titles were out:
ff7, AC, DoC, and crisis core. however there would be5 titles in the ff7 compilation. the last order does not count.

furthermore zack did not die. he was saved by angeal (or someone else with white wings) right before he died. maybe the reason we didnt see zack since then was because he is busy with recovering....

Also cloud has Jenova cells within him, pure cells. However we hardly hear anything about it afterwards.
combining that jenova cell thingy with sephiroth's last words in AC (i will always be in the darkness of your heart or something like that) maybe it was meant more literally (Jenova cells)

And what about the 2 other soldier first-class, who took Genesis away?

I don't think S.E would re-make ffVII and call that the last title of the compilation. (not saying there wont be a remake!) so the last ff7 title would take place after DoC, and i dont think it will be another movie, but a game, since the movie could not wrap up so many unsolved mysteries.

I guess there are more things to speculate on to whether zack not being dead, what will happen with genesis, Cloud's jenova cells, etc. etc.....

Zack did die, Square-Enix just wanted to dramatize or pretty up his after-death.

Weiss and Nero (also in Dirge of Cerberus) took Genesis away.

That darkness in Cloud is just his doubts and negativity like Ansem is to Riku in KH2 (and Chain of Memories).

Why shouldn't there be a remake? Cloud saw Genesis and heard of Project G and saw Hollander. That much is enough for a remake.

yeh I would like to know what happened to good old genesis, I know he was taken and was talk about, him accepting his destiny if he likes it or not and then continues to zack going bak to midgar

zack does die they use the whole angel thing as he enters back into the life stream, notice zack when he is picked up no longer has any wounds or bullet holes in his clothes hinting that he isnt where he was

yea i wish they do make a FF7 remake cause i dont wanna have to rip the PSX and have to play it on my PSP

plus at the end of Advent Children Cloud tells Sephiroth to stay where he belongs in his memories
and Seph replies.....I will....never be a memory
