Anyone else looking forward to this game? Star Ocean 3 was one of the best action RPGs i've ever played, and i'm hoping this one will be even better.

There's still no news on what console this game will be going, but according to a recent dengeki scan... the PS3 is most likely going to get it.

Yeah I love this game and the trailer was awesome and yeah its most likely a PS3 Exclusive since infinite discovery is an xbox exclusive.

i only played "Till the end of Time", and really liked it.... a long game and the battle system was really good in my opinion.
So id buy this new one when it comes out.

I never liked Till the End of Time. The voice acting pissed me off and it just felt like they weren't putting anything innovative in it at all. Just a recycled Action RPG really to me.

Yeah, Tri-Ace has a knack for releasing minimal info before the game's release. So I guess a lot of hype for SO4 has died down since it was announced.

Till the End of Time was awesome, I still play, it's actually in my PS3 right now and I really want to play it. Lots of playability, that one of the number one things I like in a game, I mean obviously it has to be fun too. And this game is.

Plus, I really liked the combat system. ^^

And by the looks of it, SO4 might be similar, even the main protagonist looks similar to Fayt.

EDIT: Hopefully they expand the combat system though. Include Bows, Guns, Etc. And expand the equipment Customization. Plus, it would be nice if they distributed the attacks more equally so if you want, some players can chain like, 15 moves, or you can just chain 3 power attacks.

That was the only bad thing about the combat, the combos were a bit bad. D;

Yes the actually battle skills were awesome (Ethereal Blast, Energy Burst= Amazing) but yeah I will agree with you on that. By the way I'm waiting for the trailers to load on Youtube I think I'm going to be stoked.

There's only been one teaser trailer so far, and it doesn't show much other than some ships flying through space.

The trailer I saw was only 4 minutes :(

But yeah I didn't really like those till I got Divine Blade that was cool but you can't have Divine Blade and Ethereal Blast on your abilities at the same time, which sucks. I think it's like 1 point over.

Though the game's battle system isn't horrible. Just flooded with a lot of mediocre abilities that soon get outperformed.

I have a feeling that square is going to announce at octobers tokyo game show 08 that SO4 is also in development for PS3.

Star Ocean series is my fav series ever and Till the End of Time is my fav game ever even now. Oh, and if you all are looking for more info on SO4 then google the site Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope. And I basically agree with everyone who mentioned the positives on the series. Unfortunately SO4 is currently 360 exclusive, but it doesn't mean it won't come for PS3. Yoshinori does think that their team may possibly do it. But it's for 360 now because of what it could handle. Gotta love Sci-fi Fantasy! ^_^_^_^

erhm, so4 looks amazing I love the style dressingness of So4... and so3 if they do make a ps3 version hopefully they'll make fixes that the 360 will have... all games need fixes regardless of how good it is, unless it's perfect.

Not only that but during the story characters would say different things at certain times each time play through the story mode or some characters talk when the last time you played through a specific scene, some one else did. Or they don't say anything at all. I not only loved the different endings but the different Color Twins you'd fight in the Ursra Cave Temple.

damn...I couldn't believe it was a 360 exclusive, I had to double check the Game mag I was reading...Hopfully it will come onto PS3, end of time was a great game and I want to play the next =(

I remember before the platform was announced Tri-Ace said they were making three games (not SO games, just three games I mean). One for the Wii, one for the 360 and one for the PS3.

As Infinite Undiscovery was a 360 exclusive everyone assumed SO4 would be the PS3 exclusive. No idea what happened to that! :lol:

I'm thinking it was originally planned as a PS3 exclusive, but Microsoft bought timed exclusivity, so we'll get it like a year afterwards or something. Very annoying but that seems to be Microsoft's strategy this gen :rolleyes:

I hope it gets released on the PS3 as well, I loved Star Ocean 2.
