Blond-haired Guy of FFXIII - Opinions

So from seeing the new scan from V-Jump -- what do you guys think of the new character? The one that was bottom of the airship pic.

Personally, I think he's kinda cool :).

Judging souly from the over the shoulder shot of him I'd say he works in a warehouse. He probably is a janitory and is aspiring to be a forklift driver someday. He's also quite the junkie, thus what he sees his friends doing, he think it's just his imagination. Also, he's probably the son of gay swinger parents from the southern equivelant of his country. I think his name is Royoth.

Sorry, that's all I can see from the picture, if it had his lefs shoes and hands, I could probably tell you his kids names and where he shops. Oh well...

I admit first, that the blonde guy in the scans, looks badass.
Also, (if you already noticed, then that's fine) it looks like he's holding some kind of device or weapon.
You can't see it too well because his back's towards you.
I think it's a weapon because of the thing that looks like laser aiming.

Its a weapen he have. But since its not that much in focus I think its a "random" weapon. He does not have a favorite or important gun like Lightning or Emo Dude. He takes what he can get and blow whatever he can.

Have to say that I am quite liking the look of this "Mister 33cm" so far. Oh and for anyone wondering apparently that is his name, as hinted by one of the producers as it is a codename that has something to do with the size of his feet.

He looks like he could be rather interested. Not got the young-ness of most characters in the FF series which is something that I'm getting slightly bored with. Why I liked Basch so much in XII.

In an interview Nomura described him as being 'cowboy like' and having a 'funny style of fighting' or something like that. So I get the image of maybe a gunslinger type character perhaps with an OTT bar-room brawler style of hand-to-hand combat. I guess he will be more of a brute-force kind of bloke rather than a graceful martial artist type.

I think they gave the shoe size just to emphasise the fact that he's a big, huge guy. I doubt anyone is genuinely interested in the shoe sizes of fictional characters!

now that you say it i'v expanded my idea on the past fling

they were slightly younger like balthierxashe said they kinda bumped into each other had like a nights fling hooked up but lightning got called away on her dutys

I tried using RPG Toolkit, which is a free download and let's you make old-school style 2D RPG's, but I got annoyed with it's limited options for battle systems and it's lack of explanatory tutorials. It was just too restrictive. I've also used Blitz Basic, where I managed to get a character walking around a simple 2D map and you could talk to other characters and stuff, but like I said, I'm not the greatest programmer ever, so progress has been pretty slow. Also, like you, I've been working on the story and characters for my main game idea for absolutely ages now (about 5 years, I think) - I've replaced the main character at least 3 times already! Although I have got a firm idea for how I want the main romantic relationship to play out and the overall story structure and character arcs.

I'd love to hear your storyline and character ideas, and I can tell you more about mine, if you want. Maybe we could help eachother out!:)

well she kinda was banished to pulse and from there she showed her resistance to the cocoon world. the blonde guy is probably her link from pulse to the cocoon world :rolleyes:

Lighting would not be some psychotic killer, she would just have to kill him to finish her mission, of course she would do it in a cold hearted way though.

We havent really seen much of either of their personalities to be honest. Lightning has been said that she doesn't cry, so do most people. But that doesn't mean they are cold, or whatever most of you think she is. As for 'Vince' i think its silly to assume his character/personality when all we have seen is about 9 shots of him and 3 seconds of video footage of him. although his fighting style id said to be cowboy like or silly i think was quoted, it doesn't mean he will be the same way. Many comedic fighting characters from other final fantasy titles have had serious fighting styles, and its easy to assume that the opposite could also be true.

I could tell straight away by the smirk at the end of the E3 '08 trailer: He's going to be almost exactly like what you're hoping. He's going to be slightly playful and a joker,with a bit of an attitude. But when the situation calls for it, he can be serious and dangerous. While he doesn't hate battle, he'd happily walk into one. He's probably a 'rev-head' with a great liking for his Shiva-bike.

Mr. 33cm (I actually prefer the name 'the Biker') is the eldest of the three characters revealed so far, and is most likely a guardian of sorts to Lightning and the Tribal girl. Despite his role, he loves to show off, and always approaches delicate situations with a smirk on his face.
He doesn't show it, but the Biker is fully aware of the weight of his situation.(Which is quite serious, whatever it may be)
How do I know this? I've got a character with the exact same persona.

I can write a character assumption for the other characters too-- I already have a good idea about how Lightning is.
