Devil May Cry anime.. says Wikipedia?!

I have no credible source apart from Wikipedia on this but it states:

* Capcom announced on their Devil May Cry 4 site that a Devil May Cry anime will be aired in Japan in 2007, and will be developed by Madhouse studios.

And as Kitmitsu hadn't heard this news, its either he's slipping or his new news. So its probably the latter.

Sounds cool and hopefully it wont be screwed up, though it probably wont be a series, a one-off show maybe or a short OVA if we're lucky.

Well I didn't know this! :P Devil May Cry would be a pretty cool series to create an anime for. If it's done well of course...and Yay! DMC3 seems the best one imo!

AHHH yes i heard about this a while bak (I like to check out the latest anime shows that are comming out in japan :D)

To give a bit more detail on the subject, its supposed to come out spring 2007 and it will be a series, it will be 12 episodes (trust me thats enough eps to be called a series and not an OVA)

SWEET! If it's an anime with guns, I'll watch it. The only reason Hellsing is one of my favorite animes is the fighting and the guns. Oh the guns. Can I ever get enough guns? Nope. I gotta get DMC 1,2, and 3. Won't be that hard if I do it illegally. :ninja:

Offtopic: Any idea when the Shakugan no Shana movie is coming out Shana? :P I read that instead of it being a sequel to the series, they're turning it into a remake of the first few episodes. Why mess with the originals?

The Japanese network WOWOW has taken up the offer to produce the anime based on the DMC series. The anime will be done by studio Madhouse and will go on air June 14 of 2007, and there are a total of 12 confirmed episodes.

Dude I don't think this anime is going to be a long series with out it starting an entirely different story line that just involves the same characters. I've played the games...alot and I've read the books and the manga (big fan of the series) and they all practically reveal everything you need to know about the series. So all in all the anime is either going to be the everything you see in the games and books remade into an anime short series or movie. If they want to make it a long series thier going to have to throw out the old story line and create an entirely new one.

Yeah, it's just 2 different links to episode 1, one from veoh, the other from youtube. I just watched it this afternoon and it seemed pretty good, the only problem was that the quality of the translation is absolutely terrible, the subs are full of typos and sentences that don't really make a lot of sense. I'll probably watch it again if a better translation team decide to work on it.
