A rumour about the PS3

Ive been hearing a rumour that once you play a game on the PS3, you cant play it on another PS3 system? just wanna know if anyone else has heard that too?

So the rumour isnt true then? I heard from ppl IRL and on the net (I forget where) that this was the case. It almost discouraged me from buying the PS3

People were saying that a while back that once you buy a game you cant play it on someone elses PS3 or trade them in or something, but sony said it was false.

Like everyones said this rumour is false. It appeared in some magazines before the PS3 came out but many of them have since said they were wrong. It would just be cheap if Sony got over obsessed with stopping people stealing their software like many PC developers.

Ok, let me get this clear then.

It was some old rumors going on that you had to be connected to Internet to register your blu-ray disk and therefore locked it to the player. This to avoid piracy and blabla.

It was two years ago and the idea was scrapped.

Thank god for that. It would have been stupid anyways because not everyone that buys the ps3 would have internet connections.

I have just looked at the line up for the ps3 and at the minute I am not to impressed. All the games that I actually want are not even out. FFXIII, FFVERSUSXIII, ASSASSINS CREED. Its poo lol

well, RFoM is G-R-E-A-T, I have tried it and as always, motorstorm is awesome with motion. RFoM is a title with quality (as always from insomniac games except ratched deadlocked/gladiator, too net-based), and MS is scheduled a week after euro-launch. two games I'm gonna get!

I heard nice things from Ridge Racer 7 and that was even coming from people that normally don't play them. They finally added car tuning too. I still have no interest in it though.

Same here. Car games and racing ones just dont do it for me. I like the idea of MGS4 and DMC4 because I have all the DMC's but i am not particularly excited about it. I think i may just hold off getting a playstation 3 until final fantasy xiii is released or DMC4 is released. Either way I am not getting it at the launch.
