Kingdom Hearts a trilogy?!

Hey!! i've heard KH is a trilogy and obviously because of that, there wouldnt be a KH4

is that true?!

i dont know....i looked for "Trilogy" on Wikipedia and Kingdom Hearts was really there.....buut...wahh it cant be HAuHauAhuHu

It has been mentioned in a Versus Interview.

That's what we have on KH3 so far. Nomura says we are going to have a new KH game and it will be announced in mid 2007. That doesn't mean its KH3 though. It could be another portable game like Chain of Memories.

Also like Cathryn says the Versus interview does confirm there will definatly be a KH3 at some point but no clue towards the date. There is also supposed to be a Kingdom Hearts announcement during the summer :)

I thought COM on the GBA wasn't a bad game, but i thank god for KH2: FM, is it going to be sold in europe and america? or is it just japan.
From what i know its just japan, even though the game is english with japanese subs.

Yeah it isn't officially confirmed, just mentioned in an interview. They probably do have some sort of concept just based off the ending of KH2 but they definatly have nothing developed yet, probably not even any sketches.

I think you're right, Wind. As long as the series keeps generating a lot of money for the company, they're going to continue making the games for as long as possible.

It seems laughable now that Final Fantasy was supposed to be a one-off title!

Its not just about milking the material dry. The fans always want to see something continue for the story to truly progress. Even if it was meant to be a 1 game only bid.

The developers too love doing their job to make video games. Having the opportunity to continue a certain project makes both sides happy.

Case in point FF7 or Zelda.

Hey, I wasn't trying to diss KH, FF, lol or even Mario for that matter. I ws just stating that of course companies like to make money off more games. But to your point of course they love making them too, they got into it for a reason.

i am not against them making the more KH games, franchise etc, but i hope they don't ruin it with crappy spin offs like DOC.

My only concern about them making more KH games is that at some point surely they'll run out of Disney worlds to use? It would be a shame if they had to keep re-using the same ones over and over again (like how the Aladdin and Nightmare before Christmas worlds have appeared in all the games so far).

What I would like to see is the characters continue to age and develop, with them eventually moving into adulthood. I liked the fact that in KH2 Sora, Kairi and Riku had grown from the previous game.

And whatever happens, they must continue to have Yoko Shimomura providing the music! Her work on the series so far has been amazing, and as far as I'm concerned she rivals Nobuo Uematsu himself for creating emotional, exciting scores. I was delighted to hear that she is doing the score for FFVersusXIII, too.

Kingdom Hearts technically wouldn't be a trilogy if KH3 was released. Cause right now they currently have three games out. But if you're basing this post on numbers and not inbetween games then you can forget what I just said.

Well since Versus13 is the last FF that Nomura will be directing (he'll still be a character designer IMO, and he wants to focus on KH). I say a trilogy of KH is a high possibility. Maybe it will become like FF, where we have a different protagonist or something.

Plus Nomura said he wanted to focus on "remakes" as well. (Please make it be FF7)

i think the Kingdom Hearts theme doesnt last for too long, this heart and keyblade thingie XD its going to get too repetitive~
but trilogy is too short!! maybe a 5-logy XD since i dont like the number 4 HAuHAuHa ¬¬
