this must be the funniest game to PS3 yet. LittleBigPlanet is created by Media Molecule, and this: http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/9860 is one of the main reasons got get PS3, no matter how much the machine costs. it just looks awesome, and I'm gonna get this on the release.

the whole point of the game is creating (wich the developers on their side, has done well) you create a track with the character "Sackboy", that you can upload to the PNP and share with other players. however, it's not just creating tracks: the level of physics does so you have to actually think to create a track. see the video, and you understand why. and as shown in the video, you can when running the track, roll a ball forwards, grab on it for a second and release. the in-game physics makes the kinetic energy of Sackboy stay in place, and if the ball rolls fast enough, and you release the grip on time, you'll fly forwards, overcoming an obstacle, called "orangevaulting", after when they did it with an orange, and it is not scripted, it's all caysed by the pysics engine. the game is all in 3D, but th courses are played wiew from Sackboy's right side, like the early SuperMario games. the head can be moved with the sixaxis, and the hands with the left and right sricks respectively. and if you position yourself up to another sackboy and move the stick fast, you'll smack him flying! if this game isn't on your wishlist on PS3 games, you are psychothic! and it is a great reason to waste 600 bucks on a breadbox ;)

I for one have pre-ordered it and so have my mates, can't wait to play this with them. It's definately one reason to by a ps3, that is if you actually understand how this game works and not just think that it's "cute".

While home is alright i'm just not really hyped about it. It's like a 3D myspace and that doesn't excite me. Maybe i'll feel different when the open beta starts.

I totally agree, every time I have seen a preview for this game I've seen totally different characters, backgrounds, and environments. As the creators have said at multiple events, the possibilities will be endless, so I dont see at all how this game will be limited. I can't wait for this game comes out and I think everyone should get it.

I've known about and planned on buying LittleBigPlanet for well over a year now, and the trailers are always fun and interesting to watch. From what I know and have seen, it's going to be more of a social networking tool than an actual game, with players able to upload and display the levels they've created online, with others able to download them.
The sheer scale and potential of LittleBigPlanet is evident when you realise that most if not all of the trailers are gameplay footage. Not only does it offer endless, rather pointless fun, but the visuals are blisteringly good.

Younger gamers will get a kick out of this, while those who play more serious games will like it as well. The game appeals to all ages, despite the fact it has no discernable plot.

Finally picked up my full copy of LBP. Amazing.
Got it early from my local Game, its a promotional disc which they get supplied to play in-store, but they never used it, and thats all the manager was willing to give me for free rofl, even though i personally know him. But still. omfg amazing. ;_;

But its defiantly worth the buy, the story mode is great, the levels are challenging, but some are a bitch when you end up loosing TO SOME FUCKING EXPLOSIVES. :wtf:
You want to play the levels over and over until you achieve an ace for not dying the complete way through, and also to nab all the goodies available. But thats a bit of a shit as well, because you sometimes need certain stickers or two players to get into certain areas to complete everything. But its a multiplayer experience so its understandable.

Can't access online yet obviously, but i played the Beta and online it was great, user created levels varied and some where insanely good.

LBP is such a breath of fresh air in the gaming industry, even if alot of people dont like, they will buy it just see what its like, its just Intriguing finding out what are the limits to this game, how much fun it will be playing with 3 other peps... plus i think alot of hardcore will like it for a change.

Kind of reminds me of the fun i use to have playing Mario Bros. 2 player.

I most Clothing and accessories for the Sackboy now, and there is an insane amount. One which i like, is your sackboy, holding a smaller toy version of sackboy. rofl. I'll post a picture later, it sounds confusing ;_;.

My Mind is broad, im simply stating a FEAR i have for this game. I think it looks great, not particularly my taste, but i do think its a great game that deserves to do well, i simply think it looks like one of those cases where a great game doesnt sell as well as it could, or should. Im waiting to see if my FEAR is realized or not. Im not speaking negatively >_<

I think it will do decently well in sales, not AMAZING, but alright. It seems more of a 'sell quite a bit at launch and keep selling steadily' kind of game rather than OMFG IT SOLD 3 MILLION COPIES! Then no-one buys it ever again.

I think due to the huge marketing push it'll sell quite a few consoles too, especially with the bundle.

I guess.. if you are creative, and likes to create stuff and perhaps upload it for other players too play. Then it's definately something for you.
The possibilities is almost unlimited. You can create object that will do as you have created them, with real physics.
And just playing and creating maps with your friends also seems like great fun in this game.

This is just the image I have gotten from watching some trailers and reading reviews. This is enough to satisfy me at least. I suggest you to watch some trailers or something on GT, and see if it's something for you ^_^

They will most likely add to LittleBigPlanet as a whole, but your also able to copy other users levels in order to see how they have structured things that you may want to emulate, and also use their level as a base to create your own level etc...

I downloaded it but it doesn't show up in my game must be region locked or something, I don't know. But where is ours??

In the last few days I've heard (On Australian gaming news and reviews show Good Game) news that all user-made levels on LittleBigPlanet's online servers that copy other, copywrighted games, will be outright deleted without the user being notified. This is due to hundreds of copywright violations AKA all those genius levels we've seen, such as the To Zanarkand level and Shadow of the LittleBigColossus. Very soon, they will only exist as videos on Youtube. Play them while you still can. (Guitar Hero: World Tour is in the same situation.)
