I'm not even sure Square knows :P Nomura said he'd get started as soon as he's finished all his current projects like CC and Monotone which should all be out this year. That means its gonna be a long while after that.

Didn´t square say in some of the interviews here that XIII was going to be released in the beginning of 2008? And that´s not a long way is it? Comparing to twelve that is. I have no problem waiting for like 1 year and 6 months (i live in europe.), honestly. Since this FF looks so good and detailed, then i defentily don´t mind it coming out in the beginning of 08. And i heard Versus was going to be released soon after XIII. Hold out my men/women!

Well Nomura did say in an interview that: "We will bring FFXIII out as soon as possible." But specualtions think that it wont come out this year. Wich is a good thing since I dont have money for a PS3 yet.

I remember how terrible I was when I couldn't find any trailer of FFversusXIII but low quality screenshots when it first announced. Then I forgot about it after a while.

But he may keep some work at home. If you are his daughter/son (if he has any) , you can sneak in his room and "steal" his working papers for some spoilers XD. I thought it would come out in 2009 as well. We are half-way through 2007 and they haven't even began major production on the game. I HIGHLY doubt it would come out even in late 2008.
