I think this will be the first game you play with a really old caracter. You almost know he will die now. Young main caracters dies too (Aerith, Tidus, Auron, close shot for zidane too) but this time hes old, he deserves to rest. Poor man. Let him die after this climax.

and The fact that you get an inside look at Big Boss before he turned insane and tried to kill everyone in a massive global war is brilliant.

I really can't wait for Metal Gear 4 though. Raiden looks great in his New Ninja suit, and with his black Metal jaw:blink: wonder how that happened??

Snakes new camouflage system is a great twist to the gameplay, because you cant hide in the same place for too long or you'll be even more highly visible in other areas later on. Makes for lots more stealth maneuvering instead of sitting in the same place for ages at a time.

the game never let me down. It not only challenging but also sometime kind of Funny.

yet I still think MGS1 was the best ever even if its is simpler.

If u sneak up on him and hold him up u will unlock his gun. probably need a tranqulifer gun too, thats what i uses on him.

Sniper Wolf needs to come back from the dead somehow in MGS4. She was awesome, wat better than all of the others, except Ocelot. She & the Boss were the best Female Characters.

lets start descusing battle stratages for boss battles. i'll start.

This is for The Fear on snake eater.
when ever i do battles i aim to lower their stamina rather than cause damage, so i equip the the tranquiliser gun. as he uses stealth in his battle i also equip the termal googles to counter his advantage.
so whilst in battle i aim at him in first person view and because i have the goggles i can keep himin view, then while hes in the air/ trees i fire at his. if i know he's about to attack i try to cover myself behind a tree. towards the end of the battle when the fears stamina is low he start to look for food by collecting what available or killing an animal, this enables him to regain stamina. to take advantage of this i find some poisenous mushroom and scatter them about, he will then go straight for them but as they are posin his stamina wont increase. the mushroom will cause him to stall for a couple of seconds, leaving him wide open for a few more shots.

And thats how i beat him.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is coming to the Xbox 360. This is not a rumor. This is straight from a Konami distribution representative's mouth. The game is already in production and has been since early 2007. Complete details after the jump:

No, the rep will not be named, but this is pretty concrete. Speaking to a Konami rep at an undisclosed distribution meeting, I was told, after a lot of nagging, that yes indeed MGS was in development for the 360. The rep stated that Metal Gear Solid will be released for the Xbox 360 between 12 to 14 months after the PS3 version hits shelves. This is not a rumor.

I contacted Microsoft's own John Porcaro via email shortly after I spoke to the Konami rep to see if I could get anything from Microsoft's public relations team. Below is the response I received. Needless to say it's the most I've ever gotten out of MS PR team member.

Thanks for the heads up, [name removed]. For anything that resembles any shift in strategy, or product announcement, or even news of something happening with a third party, we're always going to stick with "we haven't announced anything about " Every day we see rumors, most false, but some true, and we can't confirm/deny everything out there for any number of reasons.

Publishing rumors doesn't rub us the wrong way. If it weren't for sites publishing rumors, there wouldn't be much for most sites to talk about J. There really only are a few things that will rub us the wrong way: publishing content given under NDA, getting/publishing confidential information from people who are under NDA, invading/hacking systems where confidential information is housed without permission to gather information, making false/racial/sexual/inappropriate personal attacks, deliberately publishing false/misleading information, you get the idea.

I appreciate the note. I certainly will share everything I can, and I'll often rattle enough cages to get to an acceptable answer. In this case, there's really nothing we can say other than the obligatory "no comment."

You can call this a rumor, as the news may be hard to swallow for many who have read the constant denials from Konami, but this is straight from a Konami distribution rep's mouth. And I have never gotten a response like this from Microsoft before. To write that much, I can't help but think Porcaro had no idea what to say. The fact that he brings up "leaking information" has us a little worried, but again, we're not naming any names.

Again, Metal Gear Solid will be on the Xbox 360 12 to 14 months after the PS3 version hits shelves. That means we already know one of the biggest titles for 2009. It doesn't mean too much considering the game will be a year old, but it does finally put to rest the rumors and speculation.

've seen the MGS retrospective on Gametrailers, so I was after all relatively briefed about the story before I picked up the game. A little surprising ending though, and the Screaming Mantis battle had some real good jokes!

It wasn't perfect, but it was the best game I played on a next-generation console, imo. To me, though, MGS1, MGS3, and MGS4 are all on the same level, and MGS2 is on the side since it wasn't my favorite.

Recently I just finished MGS4 for the second time on Liquid Easy. I had no alerts, no kills, and no continues. :D It was awesome. Now, I'm playing it again on Liquid Easy to get the... Assassin's Emblem. I have already killed 39 people, and I need 50 to get it. So, I'm happy that I almost got it. :D

Not even i played on liquid easy right now im no my second run through on solid normal. I also agree that mgs2 is the lowest rated game in the serise imo.

I played on Naked Normal, but this is my first MGS, so i'm gonna do the second playthrough on Naked Normal again just to have played the game a second time, see things i may have missed, then go through the difficulties. Highest emblem was Eagle, 150+ headshots yay, mainly because i played sniper in the Crying Wolf battle, Solid Eye NV on, VSS from under the truck, easy kills on atleast 30 frogs.

I played it on Solid Normal for the first time. I got 17 hours and some odd minutes on Solid Normal. I'm just wanting an easy way to get the emblems, and Liquid Easy is helping. Like I said also, I'm going to be playing The Boss Extreme, and probably Big Boss Hard soon too. So, I will challenge myself again rather soon.

I kinda liked it, especially: The microwave corridor scene, which is probably the most epic scene ever made in a video game or movie. Well, next to Raiden stopping an entire arsenal gear by himself with only one arm <3.

I kinda didn't like: Big Boss's long fucking rant at the end of the game, explaining things that was already mentioned before by Big Mama, and his repeated "Oh, by the way, you need to know this as well." I saw the leaked vids of this scene like 3-4 days before the game was released, so it made more sense to me then.

As for the "game" itself, i'm having trouble believing it's an actual game. I like to see it more as an "interactive movie".
