I noticed a lot of e-rage about the "console war" elsewhere in the forums so I thought i'd start this. :cunning:

I dont really hate the 360 but Microsoft are being cleristh at the moment and it annoys me when people just flame ps3 before they look at why the it costs so much and its advantages which save you money in the long run, like free online for example. :cunning:

Also Wii is ghey, arguments/essays START NOW. :cunning:

I've got an Xbox 360, a Playstation 3 and a Wii and I can honestly say Wii is the shittest of the lot. :crazy:

360 and PS3 both have good games, Gears of War is alright, GRAW2 is amazing, Lost Planet is pretty good and Call of Duty is pretty good too, they're my faves.

Ps3 has good games too like Motorstorm which is sooo amazing online, Genji: Days of the Blade which is far better than anything on the 360 in that genre, Resistance: Fall of man is alright, although not as amazing as i'd hoped and Fight Night Round 3 beats the 360 version hands down in all areas. (ive got both) :P

As for the Wii... I've got Zelda, excite truck, Far Cry: Vengance and Red Steel. I can safely say none of those games get more than a 6/10 in my opinon.

Zelda was good but a recycled OoT, which prooves nintendo's lack of originality. Excite Truck...what can I say? Motorstorm is 50x better in every single area... Far Cry.. fuck, why did i buy that game? :lol: Its so shit. Ive got it on PC and even though the levels are different the controls are crap the graphics are sickening and the animations and voice acting are not what I paid £180 for. Red steel was okay but again its flawed when it comes to things like controls(which arent that bad but need work), graphics and animations. Also little things like cutting someones neck open with a Samurai sword on for them to stumble back and keep attacking you annoyed me. They barely reacted to being shot or stabbed.

Overall I tihnk ill keep my Wii in the hope that some better games are made for it.

Between xbox and ps3 though, I think i love my PS3 more. :P The games are a bit more fun ti play online and I dont have to have a stupid membership or any of that points crap.

I own a Wii, PS2 and PSP.

I would have to say the PS2 is by far the best out of the 3 because it still has good games and replay value. The only thing the Wii has is Zelda and there isn't really anything coming out yet that is worth playing on it yet. I just got my PSP, so I cant really say what I think on it yet.

However I'm expecting the Wii to get better but it will take time. Kinda like the PS3 is doing (even though I dont own it).

Ive got a PSP too, and while I really like it the current games are pretty poor I must admit. ;(

Coded Arms, Locoroco and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops are the only really good games IMO. Persuit force was alright but I couldnt be bothered to complete for some reason. :cunning:

The UMD has the capabilities to put 4 discs on 1. I guess they assume that we can do it with firmware and emulation. That aint gonna cut it.

Sony has set up some rules about a port. It has to add more then the original game so maybe SE dont want to add something to the games. And its still the rumor for FFV remake ya know. Would be somehow wrong to make a port of it now.
If you want you can emulate them instead on the psp. If your that desperate for it. You know, popstation.

The best console for its time was the Gameboy, The original black and white and heavy gameboy. It was perfect and was the first real portable gaming console IMO. I still have it on/in the hut/cabin/cottage. (Can someone plz help me finish that sentence!!!:lol: I dont know what best)

IMO: PS3 wins as the greatest console ever. The 360 does have some good games (Dead Rising, Gears of War, etc.) but from a technical standpoint it cannot compare to the beauty of the PS3 (so very very shiney).

i agree with dante 100% i definately hate how people instantly hate the ps3 .it s practically a religious cult now to hate it. anyway it is my favorite because im a sony fan from day one and it has good games predominantly rpgs. and the wii is soooooo gay i mean really who wants to swing around controllers all day.

My decision about which next gen machine to buy is pretty much entirely dependent on the answers to two very simple questions:

Which one has the next Final Fantasy?
Which one has the next Metal Gear Solid?

The answer to both is PS3, so that's the machine I'll be buying. FF and MGS are my favourite game series ever - there's no way I'm missing out on the next instalments of them.

Here is my opinion:

-PS3 is by far the best because of the way it looks, how quiet it is compared to the 360, and because it has Metal Gear Solid AND FF.

-The Wii is my second pick only because I admire the fact that nintendo is trying to change the way we play games and because I am a huge Zelda Fan (I was raised on it)

-The 360 is last because other than Gears and When it first came out Oblivion, it just buys out most of the other number one franchises from the other compaines or pressures compaines to make a multiplatform release (Assassins Creed?), Which in turn, in my opinion, makes the games worse. And plus, unless you are on the Xbox Live downloading crap everyday, who needs a 120 Gig HD? That is when you say, "I think I am going to buy an Alienware Computer."

I think the PS3 and 360 are pretty much the same, but as the Ps3 decided to wait, it got the best out of some of the things that the 360 missed out on.

The Wii is just an excuse to make people move about. I mean, you can either be a sporty person, or a video-gaming person, theres no mid point.
