Right, okay. I was just sitting here, reading up on FFXIII. When an idea popped up into my head for summons. If this idea has been expressed before, don't post back with "this has been posted before" cos its fictionnnnnnnn not fact.
Anyway, everyone has pretty much seen how fighting will be handled in FFXIII. Most people know how summons will work (they transform into bikes and things) Now what i thought would be good for future FF games (pray to god they be created) would be that when you summon, the beast isn't seperate from you. It combines with you (like how Chaos is a part of Vincent in DOC)
So say the character summons Shiva. A retreating bar appears (like in FFVII) as the summon happens and then the character changes (like Vincent) and gains abilities, weapons stats and weapon changes. What would also be good is if combinations of summons could work. So say if the character summoned Bahamut with Shive then they would gain the ability to fly and ice attacks.
The summoning system would work like FFXII (with the blocks) so it can't happen to often.
Please know: i know square don't read this. it was just an idea.
